She spoke english because this vid was made for the Dysney Channel primarly(that's what René told us that night, I was there!), also it aired as a special in english canada and was made to make her more well-knowned in the US I guess.

 

I won't repeat myself because I already told everything about that night previously where she sang for us "live" about every single french and english hit she ever had(at the time) but just wanted to add that there is on the vid about 5 or 7 live songs, for those who are wondering. I know, I was there! Great and magical night that was! a night when I became 100% sure she was going to become a very big superstar in english!!!!! Absolutely no doubt in my mind!!! Personnally I'm glad I have it in my collection, great memories!

 

On another note, I want to see more pics of the doggy!!!!!

ok so i just was thinking about this..

when celine was in vegas.. and when she did the show the night her dad had passed away...they always show the clip of her singing "what a wonderful world" because she sang it live. But i'm curious as to what happened during "The power of love", the songs that we all know were lipped or the songs that are "partially" live. Cause during the clip of "what a wonderful world" she basically talks through the song, because of the emotion, and thats emotion you can't deny. Ya know? It would be interesting to see how she was during the lipped parts of the show.

Don't know but I think that song was also emotional for her as she always dedicates the song to the children of the world and RC.. so maybe that's why she was that emotional.

But oh my I still can't understand how she managed to do that show that night. I would have cried through everything

That's a good point actually. Does anyone know what sort of order the songs were performed in? I wonder when 'wonderful world' was performed because she tells the audience the sad news just before this song it seems. Did she perform others songs before then wonderful world ? hmmm

I know he has to have school right now, its to soon for Christmas break and I'm unaware of any other holiday's they would get out of school for an entire week for. I know some schools have OSE days like here its an "outside schoo environment day" or something like that is what it stands for, but thats typically just one day and they build those into the required amount of instruction days here just in case they need to have a snow day and cancel school. That way they can use that day as a school day if they have to cancel. lI just wonder if she just pulled him out for the week and if so how did they get away with doing that? Well I did some research on how many days a student has to attend school and by law a student in FL has to attend school atleast one hundred and eighty days a year. Yes but RC doesn't have to be there for her to do the IVF and we don't even know if that's what she was there for this weekend. All we really know is she went to a basketball game and left her hotel a couple times and bought a puppy. Okay so we are talking about Celine Dion's son, does that mean because RC is her son he you think he should be given special privileges to miss school whenever he wants? Most schools unless its Christmas break don't give students this many days off unless they are on the year round school thing in FL. You go so many months then have so many weeks off then go so many months and get so many weeks off and so on and so on.... I just figured since she raved about how much RC "loves" school that he wouldn't to miss. RC also said when asked about school he said it was "Incredible!" and with all they've said about how much he loves it he'd want to be there as much as possible to hang out with his little group of friends Les Cinq. I mean I guess if this isn't something she does all the time maybe the school let him make up the work this time, if they aren't on holiday or something right now. IDK just my two cents on it, kill me lol.

I mean I love seeing the pics and everything, I was just a bit shocked that RC got to miss so much school if they indeed aren't off school right now and was just curious what arrangements they'd made. I mean I don't know that he is still with her but I assume he is unless Linda took him back to FL after the basketball game because we did see photo's of them leaving the hotel. I assume they were leaving the hotel after the game and not before, I can't be certain though but I believe the site did say they were spotted leaving the hotel after the game. Celine has published so many albums. My favorite is “My Heart Will Go On” from “Let’s Talk about Love” because I know Celine just from the movie “Titanic”. My heart vibrated to her beautiful voice, and I can’t forget that. Whenever I heard this song, I always have been much moved.

Is this really that uncommon in the states? Kids get to take some time off school here quite easily (pilgrimage Thailand/Crete/Majorca LOL), the head master has to approve it but as long as you do your homework it should be fine...

That's not true. Watch the video again and you should see that she is wearing a different outfit in WAWW then she is when she tells the audience.

 

My guess is that she told the audience after Nature Boy (first song), or maybe before that.....WAWW was the last song of the night.
