fred Posted July 25, 2019 at 03:16 PM Posted July 25, 2019 at 03:16 PM Well she's a singer doing CONCERTS. Singers sing. That's their job. You don't see an actor going to work and say to all "now today I'm gonna pretend to act to save a bit of my acting for later". They either act or they don't. And yes she could shorten the tours. No ome forces her to to a massive tour. Thats the thing though, shorten the show every single person will complain its too short and not worth the money. Shortening the tour isnt an option either. Lowering the key, yes thats an option, but many of the songs are so revered and loved so much because of the high key, the big notes and the difficulty of them. All her big hits are also vocally demanding, another reason why it’s difficult to do much about it. And lipping hardly constitutes a good show or not. AND was a great show, FULL of lipping, yet, still a great show. TCWT for what it was worth was a good show, probably worse than AND in terms of lipping, still a good show 1 Quote Peace and love to all.

No ome forces her to to a massive tour. And yet acting doesnt drain you until you’re exhausted like singing does. You cant lose your acting skills by acting too often again unlike singing, not to mention acting you get more breaks, chances to do other things. And sure shes a singer, you go to see her sing. But would you rather go see her where shes lipping a few climaxes and still able to sing well and deliver vocally on the live songs, or be a screaming, raspy mess or better yet cancel an entire leg of the tour from exhaustion? I know what one i would pic. Considering its a world tour to promote an album, she cant do 25 shows like a summer tour. There are 200 countries in the world. Doing 66 shows in the US / Canada isnt even that big considering their size and number of places to perform in. At the end of the day, lipping is fine. If you have a problem with that, just dont go. Its simple 2 Quote

Not to mention the use of stand-ins and stunt doubles for when they can't be there or can't do a certain stunt. Playback is singers stand-in/double. 6-7 out of a 17-18 song set is not a bad ratio at all. 1 Quote

Playback is singers stand-in/double. 6-7 out of a 17-18 song set is not a bad ratio at all. Especially considering the difficulty of the songs shes doing. It seems the difficulty of the hits isnt the issue, i find the climax of the reason harder than TPOL, however, i find its more her own nevousness to sing the song, not wanting to mess it up for the fans and not wanting to disappoint people’s expectations, hence why when shes been going through a bad time Vocally she begins to lip stuff. Even back in the 90s, she would sing The power of the dream live but lip If you asked me to. Really? Quote

You’re clearly not female because if you were, you would know hot weather = bun or a high pony. Keeps the hair out your face and off your neck, prevents you from dying lol 3 Quote

sarit_celine Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:59 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:59 PM I didn't know a show can be defined bad or good just by an hairstyle I thought the bun choice was lovely. She can walk between royal familes, and she will look just like one of them. Really. I hope Celine won't wear too complicated outfits for the new Tour, so they will actually allow herto move from time to time, not the kind of outfits from "Imagine". It will be nice though if she will wear one of her Queen dress (Just like the green one from this one , My God that was Amazing!) for the end part of the show, just hope it won't get too strange 2 Quote "Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City HallNeeded where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"

Céline RO Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:56 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:56 PM I think the main problem is not that she wore her hair in a bun for this show but rather the fact that she always wears it in a bun and honestly it doesn’t suit her figure at all, at least not a bun this tight. I think the bun she had when she performed “On s’est aimé à cause” was perfect. 2 Quote The best is yet to come...

sfbaysinger Posted July 27, 2019 at 09:04 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 09:04 PM I'm going to play both sides for a minute because I see it both ways. I agree I love the creativity and new life she's putting into PQTME. However, I also get it. This is, as she repeatedly says, the biggest hit of her French career. so I get it that some people love it the way it has always been and it is indeed harder to sing along to. I still say that shouldn't keep her from doing new things. Even though we all know the song has deep meaning for her, that may not always be enough to keep a song from becoming boring to do and she needs to do other things with it. I see both sides here, that's basically what I am trying to say. Also, does anyone know if a full YouTube video or bootleg has become available yet? 2 Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! couldawouldashoulda Posted July 31, 2019 at 06:17 PM Posted July 31, 2019 at 06:17 PM I’ve been looking back through all the videos I took (along with other people’s on YouTube) of the this day and it really was a great day. I wasn’t able to post the day of the show. Once I was near the stage, I had zero cell service. I, too, really enjoyed The Wandering Hearts - have been listening to their CD ever since I returned from London. Claire did a fantastic set and Josh was his usually crazy-ridiculous-good-voice self. Ultimately, I am disappointed that Celine chose to just do the Vegas show. I know some people have accused her of being lazy lately and I would definitely accuse her of that for this show. I also attended Barbra’s show - she had 3 special guests with her that night with whom she sang duets and had a very creative and different set list. Celine didn’t even do her full slot - she was scheduled for 2 hours and 5 minutes and only did an hour and 40. Now, while I was there, I had a FANTASTIC time. Being with 65,000 people all singing along with Celine and Celine clearly having a great time and knocking out of the park vocally (plus, I got to hear her sing Think Twice live for the first time) all created a wonderful evening that I will cherish. Am definitely glad I went but when I compare it to what Barbra did two nights later, I feel as if Celine could’ve put more thought and planning into the show and made it more special. Not even singing The Prayer with Josh Groban - like how lazy do you have to be? Please don’t take this as “Celine bashing” - as I said, while I was there, I throughly enjoyed myself. But am also still disappointed in the lack of specialness. The Millennium Concert, it wasn’t! 7 Quote

Not even time to rehearse a couple of new songs or never performed before songs from her albums, is it really that hard for a singer to do so??? I can't believe it 2 Quote "Hush, now...
