Mariah with ‘It’s a Wrap’ (the buzz is still going on that one) and Madonna with ‘Back That Up to The Beat’. Both of them (or their teams) released EP with new versions of those songs to push their streaming after went viral. They also had several other songs that went viral in the latest years, while Celine had two, a big one with IACBTMN and a minor one that never went nowhere with MHWGO and her team never released something new or promoted the viral to keep things going. They also had collaborations with artists that are big on streaming, Mariah with Latto and DJ Khaled, Madonna with Beyoncé and some new rappers I don’t know much about. As for Whitney, her numbers were always bigger after her death and I’m sure the recently released movie also helped. Quote
