blacktooth Posted April 24, 2026 at 05:50 PM Posted April 24, 2026 at 05:50 PM I’ve noticed something seems off while I was inputting the latest Spotify data into my personal archives. Why is the song “J'irai où tu iras” (with Jean-Jacques Goldman) from the album “Live à Paris” showing the same as the one from “D’eux”? What is happening? Weird 🤔 Quote

I think because the On Ne Change Pas album incorrectly lists it as a live version and when they uploaded a new version of the LAP album recently, they synced those two versions since they had the same title. 1 Quote Tommy

Unison Addict Posted April 25, 2026 at 05:16 AM Posted April 25, 2026 at 05:16 AM I’ve been noticing that the official audio of “If That’s What It Takes” has been getting around 13k-15k plays daily and it has 15M views as of today. I didn’t know that song is so loved by people! Quote
isurrender Posted April 25, 2026 at 11:16 AM Posted April 25, 2026 at 11:16 AM I have "analyzed" the "Dansons" situation compared to "Encore Un Soir". Of course, nothing is set in the stone but, tbh, I keep reading A LOT fans comparing today with previous eras ( happened 10 and 14 years ago!) like nothing changed in the meantime, trying to apply facts and situations happened back then to current era. And to me, it's not realistic. This gives a simple explanations ( maybe simplistic) about current market/Céline's streaming impact/the song reception but this is at least something ( this is France situation) Encore Un Soir debuted on the weekly Spotify France chart @ N°113 with 110K streams. Dansons debuted on the same chart @ N°108 with 589K streams; So, we can see that Céline having debuted in the same waters (positions), general streamings numbers have exploded. What is more "worrying" is that EUS stayed more than 30 days in the daily chart ( "Dansons" only 1 I think so far ?) and it peaked at N° 90 on the weekly chart 5 weeks later with "only" 123K streams. It will be very complicated for "Dansons" to recover, streaming market is not made for this kind of song and/or Celine's streaming power is less than before ( if it was possible lol) and/or song is less liked. Streaming is like inflation : for example, 1M stream today is not = 1M streams 10 years ago. "Dansons" hasn't even increased its streams yesterday on Thursday ( which is the day that streams usually substantially go up after Sunday's decreases)... Quote
Dancing_Queen Posted April 25, 2026 at 12:04 PM Posted April 25, 2026 at 12:04 PM Problem with Dansons that it's very much a 'grower'. Most people aren't overly enthusiastic the first time they listen to it but it gets better with each listen. Which is why 98% of big fans love it (they're more willing to 'give it a chance' and give it a couple of spins). Casual fans will give it one chance and stop listening if they don't like it the first or second time (I'm probably the same with artists I only listen to casually). So even though I absolutely love the song, I wish they would've used something more initially captivating as a lead single. Though I also wouldn't be surprised if the song gets a revival once she performs it live. Some of the people might hear it again and realize how beautiful it is. 1 Quote

If they had come out with “Encore un soir” now, it would’ve had an even bigger impact than back then. Quote The best is yet to come...

Weird 🤔 Sadly, on this version of LAP, they removed the live versions of JIOTI and LDSLP and replaced them with the studio versions. In the U.S., the live versions of these songs are unplayable from the other (now hidden) version of the album. QONQL is now also removed and replaced with the version from the On Ne Change Pas album.
