Yes! I believe you’re talking about Mason Trent? There’s also a remix of That’s The Way It Is by The Outliers that isn’t on streaming, but they keep posting about it. The only market that updates her certifications and therefore indicates how successful she still is. If only RIAA did the same - Celine is under-certified in the US by just about 20m.

Right! France does too. I think the UK has automatic certification updates, if I remember correctly? I could be wrong though.

I did some searching and it turns out that only BPI updates certifications automatically. Which explains why Celine has had so many updated UK certifications.

Other major music markets do not update certifications automatically. The label needs to apply. I hope so too! She didn’t have any new certifications in the U.S. from 2010 to 2021 in the U.S. And they only updated for the FIY, LTAL, and TSAT albums. She definitely needs a lot updated by now. I wish all certifications were automatic and you could see in real time who the most popular artists of all time are.

The main problem though is the US market. Celine has many singles without certification that are eligible for either gold or platinum.

Shouldn’t there be dedicated and designated people within SONY music to make sure their artists are certified accurately? It’s just a lazy thing, she isn’t a new and upcoming artist this is the legendary Celine Dion and the team doesn’t really feel legendary, the energy doesn’t match.

TT is indeed a mystery to me. 

I read as well that the way sales were counted back then was questioned. However, to me, there's no way that it hasn't reached 2x platinum by now whatever the way they finally chose...

And on the other hand, how can BYLM be 2x Platinum ? More than half of the total sales ( 1,200,000) came from streaming... 

Fair enough, BYLM streams are way higher than TT but the physical sales of TT could fill the gap... 

IDAN went silver in July 2024 in the UK for 200.000 sales. It was not even a single in the UK and has less streams than TT...

So in my opinion, TT  has at the very least 200.000 sales on top of what she sold in 1994/1995... 

I don't know if it's a mistake, if a new TT certification is around the corner or they simply don't certify the singles from that period with a fuzzy sales counting way...?

Right? Same with the Cyril - Power of Love remix and Laback’s Titanic remix. It’s a shame because they did pretty well and people seem to love Celine’s music being turned into dance hits!
