Javito Posted April 8, 2018 at 09:30 AM Posted April 8, 2018 at 09:30 AM I actually think his two friends got to come to Paris because they were in the Black and White video, that this was how they got paid. I don't think she rented more rooms because of that. I think she always rents the same amount of floors/rooms at the hotel. Well, that's a good way to see it. In that case, those two boys were soooooooo spoiled Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
wjd Posted April 8, 2018 at 12:51 PM Posted April 8, 2018 at 12:51 PM The sense of entitlement some people in this topic have is outrageous - yeah, I'm looking at you Javitooooooo. "I paid for her son's friends to come over" - bullcrap. You paid for something the market valued at X amount of dollars - if you hadn't bought the ticket, someone else would've. In return for the money you spent, you received an experience - if you don't think that experience was worth the money you paid, you have the option not to pay for it next time or if you don't think you got what was advertised, you can raise that with an ombudsman (that's when your consumer rights end though). How she opts to spend that money is up to her - if you don't think she's worth the money you pay, don't go and see her. You can't spend the money and then moan she's charged too much and expect to be taken seriously. 3 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
Javito Posted April 8, 2018 at 01:28 PM Posted April 8, 2018 at 01:28 PM It was my first Céline shows and I attended the first shows of the tour, so I don't know what I could expect. So in a way, I can complain because it was all new to me. That said, I don't regret at all the experience. Suffice to say as a proof that I liked it, that I came back to London again for the second visit of Céline in July, and that time, an incredible fan was extremely kind to offer me a ticket to see her right on the rear of the stage in block A3 (I already had a good seat on B3 but not that close to the stage). That one fan was way more generous with that gesture that anything her official fanclub has done in the last 15 years with her fans since they went on free membership (who, as a matter of fact stopped giving away tickets for shows in Vegas) Aaaand, I disagree with your last comment: as a consumer and a buyer who pays, we are always entitled to complain about the product or the service we get 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
chawatak Posted April 8, 2018 at 02:03 PM Posted April 8, 2018 at 02:03 PM (edited) ...You paid for something the market valued at X amount of dollars.... I totally agree with your point. She charges at the market value for the artists at her level, like Madonna, Streisand, etc. ...as a consumer and a buyer who pays, we are always entitled to complain about the product or the service we get I totally agree with you too that as a buyer, we are entitled to complain about the "product/service" we get, like her performance quality, vocals, production, or even that the ticket price is too expensive, etc. However, the notion that "we paid for her sons/friends" is a bit awkward because "how she spend her money for her life" has nothing to do with the "product/service" we get. Otherwise, we can complain literrally anything about her, like she should fly with economy class, use a 2-star hotel, wear street brands instead of haute couture, in order to make the cost lower then ticket price cheaper. Dion2000 Posted April 8, 2018 at 02:24 PM Posted April 8, 2018 at 02:24 PM Id say for us as consumers, we pay for the show we received and thats what we pay for. If i pay x to get y and im happy with y, thats where it ends. If y then spends the x money on z, as long as z is within legal reasons, I cannot fault y for spending money on z. Its basic, in general all profit works this way. If you buy a Phone, the majority of that money goes to the CEO / Inventor of the product. They then can spend that money on say... a family holiday, and we cannot begrudge someone on what they spend the money they earn in exchange for the work they do. If you work 9-5, at a cash register in a supermarket. You earn your money based on the work you, if you then go and have a vacation with your kids and some friends. No one can judge you for that, thats like a customer arguing with you based on the fact that you spent the money you worked for. Furthermore as this economy makes things more and more expensive as money becomes more and more “easy” to get, we can expect as people that naturally means things become more expensive. As the people above said, very entitled 1 Quote

As the people above said, very entitled i think yes prices are skyhigh and should be lower but it is not only Celine and her entourage but also the venue and the ticketpromotor itself that asks a high price. All in all this results in the price.. Nevertheless i looooved the show..but seats that are quite far from the stage, even on 4th row in front and who are actually in front of a screen instead, should be having a way lower price than i paid for! Next time i just know that section a or c is not an option for me. i might as well go on the side of the stage on the first ring and see more. But who knows how long that takes before she comes to Holland again.. celinesounds Posted April 11, 2018 at 07:17 PM Posted April 11, 2018 at 07:17 PM Céline Dion a annulé, à grands regrets, tous ses concerts à Las Vegas en avril, le temps de son opération. Firstly, she doesn't know who will open for her now that she's gone. Secondly, she cannot turn on the radio without thinking about her. But the great advantage is that now she can listen to herself without thinking is it me singing or is it Véronic ? At the end, she says "I can't believe she's gone. I'm going to miss you for your talent but also your generosity and your friendship. I wish you a lot of strength. I love you. gafsa Posted April 13, 2018 at 11:56 AM Posted April 13, 2018 at 11:56 AM So sorry to drag mimi to this thread, but I read that mimi's concert targeted to get 7000 people in her concert at Lumbini park, borobudur temple, Indonesia. With the ticket range 1-7 million rupiah (about 500 USD), I can't help to wonder why again about how celine tickets ate so expensive. BTW I'm not complaining though because I'm really happy that she will be here. Quote
chocolatechip15 Posted April 13, 2018 at 12:23 PM Posted April 13, 2018 at 12:23 PM (edited) Sorry but NO. Yes the Eustachian tube does connect the middle ear to the throat (actually the Nasopharynx) but it DOES NOT effect the vocal cords. Yes the ET drains into the throat, again the region of the throat is the Nasopharynx, but NOT the vocal cords. The vocal cords are located in the Larynx, not the esophagus. (The tube leading to the stomach.) If the ET drained into the larynx you would choke on the occasional mucous and fluid that it drains from the middle ear.The access is obtained through the nasal cavity and not through the mouth or throat. Again the vocal cords are NOT touched. A quick little A&P session for y'all. I'm glad we have a nurse on the forum So much misinformation out there.
