I really think she should cancel the rest of her Vegas shows leading up to the tour. Canceling on Asia two times woud be disasterous for her reputation, regardless the circumstances.

She should cancel the Vegas shows only if she’s not fully recovered from the surgery or if another issue arises. But I agree how damaging it would be to cancel on Asia twice.

Agreed. At this point I think it's either she can or she can't...not too much of an in between grey area I wouldn't think. May/June Vegas dates are just a couple of week's worth - in one aspect it might be good "warm-up" for the tour. I kind of feel like both will either happen, or both will be called off. I most definitely don't want Summer plans to be cancelled. If that happens we know we're dealing with something extremely serious that the surgery didn't successfully correct. Asia and fans across the entire globe would be devastated so here's hoping that all is well. Hopefully we get a tweet or some sort of update within the next few weeks.

I read it before... i think it was during her incognito tour, suddenly she doesn’t have a voice. She damaged her vocal cords and stopped the concert and she was crying. Then, she had a vocal surgery then, after that she got a vocal coach (because someone said she should know how to properly sing without hurting your vocal cords - i don’t remember if céline said it herself or someone). Maybe the one you’re talking about having vocal silence is during her D’eux tour back in 1995

"The doctor gave me a shot, and I took so many vitamins, maybe steroids," she says. "I went on for the first song. The second song there was not voice coming out, and there was a guitar solo where I had to do a costume change. A doctor in Montreal broke the news to Dion that she would need to have surgery to remove polyps from her vocal cords. For a second opinion, Team Dion consulted Dr. William Gould here in New York. Dr. Gould, then nearly 80, was a renowned voice doctor who had worked with Frank Sinatra, President John Kennedy and Walter Cronkite.

 

Surgery was not the answer - silence was.

 

After 3 weeks of vocal silence, Dion's cords looked perfect. But, they were convinced that if she went back on tour, she would be right back in Dr. Gould's office. Therefore, Dr. Gould prescribed something for the long-term that was ultimately less invasive but, infinitely more time consuming and difficult - Celine Dion had to learn how to "be a singer". Clearly she could sing - but, the longevity of a singer doesn't always depend solely on how they sing. Dion also needed to learn how to care for her instrument. She had to learn that the first thing is not to do harm.”.

A dance remix of BYLM was already created by Chris Cox of Thunderpuss. It was created a few years back when the remix album was to be released, but ultimately dropped/shelved indefinitely.

If i see a re recorded songs. It feels like there’s no more new songs coming up. Like no songwriter wants to work with you anymore that’s why you just re record your old songs. Maybe a remastered version would be better.

I’d love to hear a segment in which LCMM segues into JALBOL. The two have similar themes and sounds. It could work quite well, especially with Scott at the helm.

Id love for her to do something like she did with DUAM, it always seems like a slow start in Anglophone concerts. Id love for an intro of DOL where she comes out and does that (In full, for the first time since 1998) just to get the audience warmed up as i feel ballad openers are boring

I wish they will shoot a BTS for this tour... soundcheck, dress rehearsals, about the songlists (they say the setlist will be different per country), mini tour of the places of the visited country, etc. and of course the concert.

I think she will cancel the tour, because of her health situation. I'm so glad, that I saw her in Berlin last year.

Hopefully she won't! She still has three months to recover Tickets have been selling like crazy in Oceania! She will receive some standing ovations again

If anything shes far more likely to cancel the May-June vegas leg to ensure she is fit and ready. Apart from that surgery isnt 100% guaranteed to work however thats in the case of general medical practitioners. Where as Celine can afford to pay upwards of $1,000,000 to get the best surgeries in the world and the best doctors. My best is she shes having the surgery very soon, no later than April 10th, to ensure she has the full month to recover if she does plan on going through with the May-June leg of Vegas shows. And its more than likely going to be cancelled as well as its very important that she does this tour. It would be AWFUL if she cancelled again in Asia and Aus/NZ would be gutted as you can tell how hyped they are. Im just hoping Celine gets through it Edited April 2, 2018 at 06:49 PM by Dion2000
