In local media it said that Celine will bring 80 people with her, including her family.

 

"Including her family". Let's see... If that means she will bring her mother, children, half of her brothers and sisters (including their partners), nannies AND RC's friends (like the past tour)... Yeah, I think we have the reason behind such prices :rolleyes:

 

I'm not surprised they inflate her prices and create VIP packages out of the blue for nothing. She travels with a complete entourage of people, including friends of her children last year (who slept in the same hotel as Céline and RC). Just saying.

Looking how fine the presale is, maybe we could stop worrying about the sky-high prices and see how well it goes on the actual sales. not to mention that many people don't understand how presale work, and how to get invitation code, and some people can't find the link to buy the ticket, because if you sercah "Celine Dion" on loket.com which is an official web to buy tickets, you will find nothing.

 

I, myself, this is my first time ever to but concert ticket, yesterday on the web itself I can't find "buy ticket", only after I use my smart phone I can see that "buy ticket" button.

 

I actually surprised to see there's some people really buy that diamond ticket LOL

And besides all the reasons given above..... it's also a Positioning (Marketing) thing: next to Madonna, Céline is the best selling female artist ever. She's never been to Indonesia and she's currently in high demand everywhere. She can't be placed with artists like Katy Perry or Lady Gaga; she's a legend. So basically it's "take it or leave it", it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, so if you want to see her, this is your chance. (I'm not saying I agree, it's just how a business works)

 

It's like with a product (which the brand "Celine Dion" basically is), say her handbag line: where do they want it position it? Should it be cheaper than Dior? Should it be exclusive? Should it be sold in all stores or just 1 retailer? etc. etc.

I know some of the places she’s performing in are much smaller, like the Grand Ballroom in Singapore, so I wonder how she will do her stage. I suppose it will be a much smaller operation, because she won’t be able to bring in the tall lights/screens so it’ll be interesting to see if it’s the same from place to place or drastically different like the TCWT was in some occasions.

Yeah. From business standpoint I agree. Actually she's in the rank of Hermès Himalaya, different league from others LoL.

people have still the choice to go or not. Let's take for example our Hockey team , the canadians. They charge disturbing prices to see them, and you don't even know how good they will play (most time awful this year) . People began to protest and they some difficulties to sell all their tickets this year. the only way for things to change is to not go. It is hard , but must be done. I don't know what 's those prices represent in Jakarta for a middle class family , but if you to finance on many months to go to a show , i think it is too expensive and represent the inequalities in the world. All the entertainment business is f***** up. We have a happy fews at the top and the others who wants to go there if possible. Like in everything, it is the little people who do essentials jobs , like feeding , the base of the economy who receives the less.

I feel it is more than a-okay that she respects the culture of the country (mainly Muslim), even if it is just for marketing purpose.

The singer Ina was not allowed to disembark the airplane in one Intra Gulf country, due to her sexy outfit.

 

End of the day, it is just an add and I am expecting Her to wear less revealing outfits while in that area.

I am not debating pros and cons of a religion / woman’s rights, I am highlighting the importance of “flexibility” in different countries.

No, they are wrong, maybe they got it from presale link, which is most of section are sold out, and when presale ended every section are full booked, but the public link it wasn't sold out, not even full booked for some section. I hope they delete that post.
