marc-02 Posted January 20, 2018 at 09:10 AM Posted January 20, 2018 at 09:10 AM So basically, nothing... Here's what Celine Dion's Diamond ticket will give you Following the news about Celine Dion’s Jakarta concert ticket prices reaching Rp 25 million (US$ 1,882) for the reserve-only Diamond category, the show’s promoter has revealed what the audience members will get for their money.Logically, they will be closer to the Grammy-award winning singer during the show as they will sit in the front. “Right in front of Celine Dion,” said Peter Harjani, CEO of PK Entertainment as one of the concert’s promoters, after a press conference in Central Jakarta on Thursday, Jan. 18.“There will be no meet and greet,” Peter continued, then added that there would be no welcome drinks or dinner. “Her average show is one and a half hour. We have asked her to bring all of her hit songs, hopefully, she will take aboard our requests.”The high ticket prices have aroused a variety of reactions among Dion’s Indonesian fans, especially compared to prices for her show in Japan. But Peter said it actually depended on the venue capacity. “If we take a look at the capacity, the Tokyo Dome [Japan] is 40,000, while our capacity is 10,000 […] and our production costs are the same,” he explained. “The reason why our prices are higher is because the production costs are the same although our capacity is far less than other countries.”Read also: Celine Dion's Jakarta concert ticket price reaches Rp 25mDuring the press conference, the marketing director of PK Entertainment, Harry Sudarma, also explained about the price. “Actually we already discussed the ticket price internally and with Celine Dion’s management,” Harry stated. “So all of the listed prices are based on her management team’s approval.”The crooner of “All by Myself” is scheduled to perform (http://www.thejakartapost.com/life/2018/01/12/celine-dion-set-to-dazzle-indonesian-fans-in-july.html) for the first time in Indonesia on July 7 at Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor, West Java. Peter said that 80 people will come along Dion, including her crew and family.“For now we’re in the process of production. We have to make the stage similar or even greater than [the one in] Las Vegas,” Peter stated.According to the official website (http://www.celinedionjkt.com/) of Celine Dion Jakarta, the tickets are already available only for Mandiri cardholders for two weeks starting from Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. to Feb. 1. Celineiac2003 Posted January 20, 2018 at 04:42 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 04:42 PM Do promoters really have a say in what Celine should sing at her show?! They can yes. They decide ALOT. Because if they dont like it then they can pull out, removing all promotion for celine and she would need a new promoter. All posters, tickets, adverts and statements would become invalid. So in honesty yes they can Quote

Celineiac2003 Posted January 20, 2018 at 06:15 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 06:15 PM Ive noticed. All the dates for the tour have availability for a second date depending on sales. Manila will definitely have a second show, I can definitely assume that Jakarta will have a second show and hopefully they will add Tokyo (it will definitely sell out) and maybe a date in Osaka or Nagoya or both Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted January 20, 2018 at 06:48 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 06:48 PM How do we send our song requests to the promoter? Quote

Well as far as we know the media are potraying it that way due to ignorance of a second show, they also have put Tokyo as one night only but we all know she would never do one night in Tokyo Quote

Unless they add more dates in Tokyo and neighboring cities to take place after Bangkok and before Oceania. It seems to me that entertaining around 50,000 people in Japan is enough, and they're more focused on visiting countries she has never performed in. But I'm sure we will have an answer next week when tix go on sale. Edited January 20, 2018 at 09:27 PM by brendanm999 Quote

Like shes got 17 days as is, thats more off than 2016 and 2017 but I do feel thats for her family for spending quality time but one show wont hurt. Shes done excess of that before like in 99 when she did 2 shows at the stade de France, completely unnecessary but great too Edited January 20, 2018 at 09:46 PM by Celineiac2003 Quote

wjd Posted January 20, 2018 at 09:47 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 09:47 PM Trust me, they do. They don't. And if they do in Celine's case, it would be highly irregular and against the industry standard. A promoter's job is to provide the venue, agree the pricing structure and ensure the act and their entourage (and gear) get from A to B with no issues. 2 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
Celineiac2003 Posted January 20, 2018 at 10:02 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 10:02 PM They don't. And if they do in Celine's case, it would be highly irregular and against the industry standard. A promoter's job is to provide the venue, agree the pricing structure and ensure the act and their entourage (and gear) get from A to B with no issues. Have you not heard about the case with Madonna in Auckland ?? Or Mariah Carey when she was in Tokyo. Because they are the promoter they also organise promotion (duh) and media coverage. So they will want to make surw Celine sings her biggest hits and make sure that the show is to a standard. For example, Madonna made a statement about how AEG NZ threatend to pull out of the deal last minute, making all tickets and the entire show null void. Or when Mariah carey was told she had to change her set list by the promoter to ensure “fan happiness” and to “promote herself and the companies image well”. There are many cases where they can threaten to leave a project if they are not pleased. The best example being when cher cancelled shows for South America because of “promoter negligence” but her management stated it was due to “disagreements over production” and that “both parties have decided to seperate due to problems related to production and opinions of our clients creative decisions.” Quote
mirage Posted January 20, 2018 at 10:16 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 10:16 PM Than those promoters who want her to sing her biggest hits surely didn't care and follow her career for the last years haha. Because that's all she does... singing her biggest hits Quote

SuperLove4Celine Posted January 20, 2018 at 11:59 PM Posted January 20, 2018 at 11:59 PM I'd like to think Celine and family, and the crew would take at least a few days to explore the countries they've never visited. It would be such a shame for them to go there and only work, but not see any of the sights. It wouldn't have to be documented like what was done for "Through The Eyes Of The World," of course. Quote
