CSCfan Posted January 23, 2018 at 03:27 PM Author Posted January 23, 2018 at 03:27 PM Funny though how out of all the cancellations, Adele managed to be at the only one she didn't cancel... Just saying! Well maybe Adele was also supposed to attend one of the cancelled shows before this... and Céline thought this would kill 2 birds in one stone.. BUT Céline has cancelled out on other celebrity visits before, so really doubt she did the one show for Adele... 1 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Shamrock_1982 Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:36 PM Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:36 PM Afraid to interview Celine?I’m reading some serious BS on here tonight! What we need is a big fan to interview Celine not some presenter who is up there own arse, who doesn’t give a s*** about the interviewee and hasn’t bothered to research them and the current situation, but who simply wants her name on their C.V. Popular Post wjd Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:51 PM Popular Post Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:51 PM I agree that she's quite an intimidating interview, she's as much a megastar as you can get - there's no two ways about it. The natural response is either to ask her "safe" questions (ala Jimmy Fallon), to mock her as they don't get her quirky humour (Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen sometimes) - one of my favourite interviews she's done in recent years was her short interview with Jonathan Ross and that's because he asked her different questions and he got her humour. I'd love for her to be interviewed by Graham Norton - she needs a full hour with either Graham Norton or Jonathan Ross (UK) or a big fan. 8 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

Yeah I agree, I don't Like Jonathan Ross but that was a good interview. She also did the Radio 2 interview with Graham Norton in 2013 didn't she, although I believe Graham described it as an interesting monologue. I think that some of that might just be about the British way of interviewing. It's a bit more direct and usually more focused on the person themselves rather than impersonating other artists etc. than say American shows seem to be. Quote
CSCfan Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:59 PM Author Posted January 23, 2018 at 08:59 PM I think the problem also lies with Céline.... she's a master in deflecting the real question or avoid certain topics. As seen with this interview, whilst of course the album isn't done yet, she could tell a bit more about the process or about her music, but we instead get a familiar answer... again. It just seems she dislike certain topics (like her musical projects) and really, really like certain others (her family, personal stuff, wisdom stuff). So yeah, she needs an interviewer who won't give in and just keep asking what he wants to ask. 3 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Based on the evidence we have this is probably not recording or processes. Anyway I think it's fair to say that the 'book' as she calls herself might always be open, but she often has her finger in it marking the page she wants us to see... I'm sure that is sensible self preservation though. Edited January 23, 2018 at 09:06 PM by RosieBarron 4 Quote

She may have talked solidly about some seemingly unrelated topics but she was calmer than she has been for a while. Not too much random breaking into song. pat200 Posted January 23, 2018 at 09:42 PM Posted January 23, 2018 at 09:42 PM you guys do realize that many artists have the questions before hand for their interviews, especially A listers like Celine. Also people of her level make it clear that there are some questions they do not want to be asked. and as someone mentioned, celine is a master in deflecting the question with her answers or acting like she doesn't get the question. Your music. Your passion. Your JOB. I get that the other passion is her family, but it's not her JOB.She is there as the singer Celine Dion, not the mother, not the 14th child of a poor family who gave her a chance to be a star and everybody supports her but she never sees them, or the woman who husband has died 2 years ago and is still in the same room, and all that.Just squeeze this into 2 minutes, and after that talk about your JOB.The reason why people pay for is that she is a singer, makes albums, do tours. If I were a singer and I would have worked on my album, lord I would be soo enthusiastic to talk about, even when maybe I'm not allowed, but who cares, I'm the singer, I make the album. And not just owh Sia wrote me a song, talk about it.Just as passionate as you talk about being a mom and rene, I would love to see her talk about her music, her career, a real upcloseandpersonal interview and not the stories you think the world wants to know. So, got that of my chest hahaha.Sorry Edit: I LOVED the Wayne Brady interview yeaaars ago. Before 1999 Celine was all about her career. She gave her life to her job. She gave interviews , she did promo , she released albums, toured like crazy, and spent days without talking. She had no personal life and was never home. I am sure her career was her top priority. In 1999 she spent two months with Rene, at home with no schedule and that changed her life. She found out that there is life out of show business and she fell in love with this new life. In 2000 she started her break , got pregnant , and that was the icing on the cake. When RC was born she found out that her biggest joy is being a wife and mom. As she said in an interview , she was born again. Well from then on her top priority became her family and no longer her career. Today its so clear to see that her happiness is her family and not her job. She has said before that she sings as fast as she can and that during the shows she would like to say hold the applause to the end so that she would be able to go home faster. I for one love the passion with whitch she talks about her private life. I would pay to listen to her talk. It's who she is and it's what she loves. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and her heart is her family. I see people saying she should do this, record that, tour, leave Vegas and so many other wishes. Well in my point of view that ship has sailed, she still loves to perform, as long as it doesnt get in the way of her true passion., especially after Rene passed. Her love story with her career got her where she is today , a diva, an icon, admired by many. Her love story with her family will get her to the rest of her life. I love to hear her talk about the boys and say that Rene is still important to her, it makes her real and as she says it keeps her grounded! 3 Quote

She still sings because she LOVES it, she still records new music and does Summer tours because she LOVES it...and yes, I think she's in Vegas and LOVING it as well. When it comes to her family however...now that...THAT is a love that far surpasses all of the rest. I think she has the best of both worlds right now and she's got her priorities lined up exactly how she wants them. It's her happiness that matters first and foremost so I'm ok with whatever paths she takes. Celine knows Celine best. I'm sure she's super excited about performing in Asia this Summer, but she's probably even more excited to have the opportunity to have her boys travel and see other countries and cultures. And me...well...I can't wait for all of the tour parties here on the forum again - looking forward to all of the live streams to see what she has in store! Last Summer was a blast. I know it's still Winter, but before we know it we're going to have this tour and a new album coming out. She still gives so much. 2 Quote

Basically those are exactly my comments all the days where she kept talking and talking and talking about RC and motherhood during the 2004-2007 days eeeeeeverywhere she went. Like you say, she's supposed to be recording a new album. It's the new album since FIVE years ago. It comes hard to listen new Céline Dion English songs these days now. So, if you're a singer, hello??? Isn't that normal hournalists are curious to know? To ask and talk about the new music you're doing? You're a singer!!! And wait for the journalists to ask her what she's going to sing for the tour, being the third consecutive time she tours and has no new music to sing. That will be an interesting question leading to the new album too But I guess Céline will somehow get away with it and link the question with family/children chitchat that nobody in the room will care to know about. Say from the start that the tour is only an excuse to go on a trip for another summer with your children and family, and you'll be closer to the truth dear... Music really became secondary for Céline. If she was that interested and passionate today about it, she wouldn't be taking 5 years to record new albums and be rambling for hours about her family deviating the answer to questions related to her new music. Not that she hasn't earned every minute of those trips with her children and family, but still that clashes when it comes to professional interviews where the media wants to know what the hell is going on with your new music and career and you go over again the same family talk as if you didn't care about your JOB. In that case, just pretend you are in fact interested Céline, just pretend... Edited January 24, 2018 at 09:11 AM by Javito 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
