Well I think we can conclude that she's definitely capable of singing way better than she does most of the times, and I'm not sure if that's something I should be happy about or just angry/mad at her

 

Okay, she's saving her voice and taking care of it, but to what extent, and for what purposes? She rather give us a flawless album with out of the world vocals, otherwise, I don't understand this different "voices" she uses (or the polemical abuse of playback)

3 summer tours in a row that she is great. And it is always the same playback, IACBTM, TPOL,add BYLM and the end of titanic who was live in the last tour, and the dance thing. People have a fixation on those songs, they have an idea in their heads on what it should sound like, she doesn't want to go under that. You are not happy on the way she sounds now? The reason is good enough to justify the price of the ticket. The medley is great , really special. The fact it doesn't please everyone is not her problem, she tried a new approach, we should be happy about that.

It was an ironic tone more than anything! I'm absolutely delighted and equally shocked at her voice condition in I Can't Help Falling In Love. That's why I say that I don't know wether to be happy or also angry because she's not singing that good during the rest of the concert! But when she unveils acapella songs like this one, then we know she absolutely can!

I HATE Sony.. really.. this is her best 3 tours from all her career and we are stuck with old vhs from Memphis or stupid dvd from the colour of my playback!

 

And the sad things about the playback from this tour is with the shape of her voice right now on CHFILWY that means those playback songs (TPOL, IACBTMN, etc) would sound 100000 times better if they were live!!!

Think Twice, The Reason and Cant Help Falling In Love are the 3 songs that show under the bored reserved tone, shes still able to pull out the slayage

 

Vocal preservation and singing them the way shes expected to is important yes. But id love if she just sang 100% live again, even if she took 2/3 days between every show. I mean i HATE and LOATHE TPOLs prerecorded track and id love to hear her slay it again

The little variations she's making in Think Twice and PQTME are amazing.

 

The orchestra and the guitars on Think Twice are breathtaking. Think Twice is a marvel of this tour (and last summer tour too). But it keeps getting better and better (on the contrary with other songs like LCMM or RDMH). Think Twice deserves a DVD release.

I think Celine is capable of singing TPOL and IACBTMN live considering she can slay TT and TR. I think perhaps she’s worried about not delivering them to the standard the fans will remember her for. She’s more of a perfectionist than she cares to admit, I think.

 

I don’t mind her lipping a few songs, but my only wish is that she’d re-record some of the playbacks so they’re representative of her voice in this era of her career.

Wow, PQTME!!! Those little variations and changes in melody really gave me tingles. She’s just so free and playful with her vocals on this tour, it’s like she’s caught the passion for it, which I think is drained out of her a lot with the monotonous Vegas show most of the year.

 

Can only imagine the excitement if we get another world tour 😍

Yes, because if you listen songs like FIY and then Think Twice (which was performed right before) or CHFIL acapella at the end of the show, it looks as if she had performed in two different nights with different voices, and it's annoying she's doing that. Some say FIY is playback and if that's true then that's absolutely not the best version nor it represents the great condition of her real voice live today! That's what I say.

Some say FIY is playback and then that's absolutely not the best version nor it represents the good condition of her real voice live! That's what I say.

 

But we all know that she recorded that playback for FIY months ago when her voice was probably not at it’s best. The rest of the concert she sounds fantastic...on par with CHFIL, to be quite honest. To compare the current state of her voice with that one playback is a bit of a moot point.

It's not futile, FIY is part of the show and is an easy song for her, and for those who are fans of the song and they find her voice looks completely tired and flat as if it was brushing the ground and then on other songs she's almost flawless and with a powerful voice, that difference is striking to say the least. She's singing a show with a 50 year old mature voice and that particular song sounds as if she was 20 years older her age. Not that it should matter or is a big deal, but remember only us here are implying she's using a playback track, the rest of the audience there thinks it's totally live

 

I'm not the kind of fan criticising her for the use of playback, but her team and Celine herself should pay attention to details like this (especially if they're filming the show at some point!)

Sorry but whoever thinks fiy is live has a problem to start with... the problem is not that there is a vocal difference between 2 songs.

I dont Watch fiy perf coz it s useless to me and I don t care about her pepe and dance. just watched the first perf and to some point she falls in his arms without a shake in her voice.. so was le ballet... so i don t see how someone can think it s live...

Do not forget that falling into you has only been live three times - all wonderful performnaces. Even on 1996 tour they were lipped. Compare austraila, london, montreal recordings...on tour as the title track of the supporting album it was playback (after opening the show with a playback tpol lol).

Lemme put it to you this way>>>> Way before we even knew Shania was filming a tour dvd her fans put together a book with lovely messages and at the end of the book we put together a page dedicated to just tour requests and were planning on giving it to her on Sunday. I mean we bombarded her twitter page and facebook page with requests. Now just last week we learned during the Toronto show she was already planning one but i'm just saying telling Sony will do NOTHING you have to SHOW Celine herself that is the only way to change their minds if she herself tells them. comments i have read from french fans, they don't like Pour que tu m'aimes encore that way. they think she tries to save her voice , adding fioriture. They are not used to it. the same that english people would not like too much change on those songs. , the majority of fans . This is what i think. Most people don't liten to all the bootlegs. the way she pronounces the words in PQTME is way different. If you are not speaking french , you don't notice that, but for someone used to it, it is bizarre. I don't ming the changes, i like that she dares to do new things. I have always loved PQTME. I have and always will have a special place in my heart for it, but these past 3 Summer tours have made me fall in love with it all over again. What a great surprise it would be if we got a 3 concert boxed set bluray/cd, but i know it's only a dream and i will have to be happy with the audience videos we have gotten.
