The Taiwan media did some interviews with the Taiwanese cello player, and she recalls that four years ago after she was chosen among 100 players auditioned for the post, on her first day joining the band for rehearsal, Celine gave her a big hug, saying "welcome to our big family." And when her parents watched the show and met Celine backstage, Celine thanked her parents for raising such a good daughter, and she is thankful for having the player in her music family.

The cello player also said Celine did not tell her in advance that she plans to introduce her at the Taiwan shows, so she caught that by surprise and was so touched. She said she even saw Celine got teary herself too during the introduction, and that made her cry too. Also prior the shows, the team had also asked the player whether she needs help in getting tickets for her family and friends to watch the show. She said the team is incredible and so is Celine. She said Celine is funny, humorous, down to earth, and also very professional, never miss a rehearsal.

What you know is wrong... that’s not headvoice.... the example of headvoice is in Call The Man, Vole or Fly, Le Ballet Memphis.

I just wish she did her hair differently though. Maybe letting her hair down takes too much effort/styling (know the feeling), but she looks so beautiful with all kinds of pony tails or with a bun on the back of her head (as opposed to on top).

Now this is something I don't understand, and I'm sure you'll all agree with: how can she possibly sing I Can't Help Falling In Love with such top shape vocals, clear and strong as eleven years ago, and at the end of the show (when her voice should be justifiably tired), and how can she sound so weak, flat and tired for Falling Into You, a song performed in the middle of the show, which is barely vocally demanding? I don't understand this :hmm:If you compare both performances in the same show, they look as if they were taken from two very different days, and two very different Celines!

 

Some said that FIY is a recorded live playback, but still, I woud be terribly surprised if Céline had approved such a poor playback version for a song that should be easy peasy for her (if not the easiest song to perform in the whole show)

Clearer and stonger than her poor attempt in 2007

 

It is a playback, i dont know either why she allowed this it sounds like she got up at 4am after 2 hours of sleep and did it in one take in her garage studio. Le Ballet was also quite rusty but it needs the flair, FIY needs to be silky and sensual

I think the playback was recorded at the point she was weakest vocally after the surgery. This may have been the best she could do at that point, especially with time constraints.

 

But you're right, it stands out like a sore thumb now that her vocal condition has improved so drastically. She'd probably be better off just singing it live, even with the dancing.

I hope if this does make it onto some dvd, they'll record a better one and dub it.

That's what I mean, it's insane!! If this is recorded and put into a DVD there's no way the public is gonna buy this. A performance in the middle of the show where her voice sounds absolutely tired and flat, far from her standards and then a final encore acapella where she totally nails it. Anyone who is not familiar with her playbacks ins and outs will probably think there's something fishy going on

After the last Jakarta show she flew straight to Taipei, so she will probably fly straight to Manila after her show today

There's definitely something strange going on in the way she sings today. We know she still has the great voice, we know she can nail it and belt the songs if she wants, but she can go from the most embarrassing vocals during a whole song to the most strong and clear performance in the same night, in a matter of minutes. Why does she do that? How can her voice change so much within the same show and night? Is she keeping her voice to record the album or more songs? Is she cheating us more than we see with the playback thing or what?

 

I don't understand, but whatever it is, is not nice. Either give us the best voice with a certain uniformity during the same show, or don't give a show at all. The differences are becoming very noticeable now and sooner or later someone will ask her why she sings as if she had actually TWO different voices used in the same night!
