I hope that they don't go with the NA track list. If they do, we miss out on Be the Man and Amar Haciendo el Amor. As much as I love TLYM (my favorite English song), it's already available on vinyl on singles.

The Canadian version actually has Amar Haciendo el Amor but doesn't have TLYM on it. I always wondered why Canada got the Spanish song but the USA didn't.

The Canadian version actually has Amar Haciendo el Amor but doesn't have TLYM on it. I always wondered why Canada got the Spanish song but the USA didn't.

 

Because To Love you more has included the song in the CD Live à Paris in Canada. This is the reason the song has not included in the canadian version of Let's Talk About Love.

I recently sold a piece of the first pressings of the 2XLP FIY vinyl album. I have two pieces left in my possession.

 

One is a limited pressing of 700 units. Clearly indicated by a sticker.

 

The other one doesn't mention anything at all about a number and is in pristine condition (proud of it by the way).

 

Can anyone tell us more about the limited pressing I wrote about and the amount of doubly vinyls that were printed of the FIY album in general (limited pressing(s) and general pressings if there is to be made a differentiation at all) ?

 

This will tell us more about the reason why this double vinyl is not easy to find.

I guess that's why they're $$$$$ now. I don't care about pressings or collectors value - I just want availability and playability. So excited to buy the new vinyl to play around the house! (my CDs are fast asleep in the basement - I don't even have a CD player anymore.)

I keep reading about bad quality artwork for vinyls released last year, and yes, I agree. I have them and they should have done a better job but the fact that's bothering me is that no one is talking about how great they sound. I couldn't believe my ears while listening. I thought I knew every sound of every song since I've listened to them a million times before but there were so many new things I've discovered, it was almost like listening to them for the very first time. I do hope those new English vinyls will have better quality artwork but if they sound as good as those released last year, I will be ecstatic, no matter the artwork quality.

 

My point being, they are finally releasing these and we have right to expect great quality in all areas, packaging and mastering and I don't mind people complaining about the artwork but I've seen some saying they won't buy it only because they don't have high quality artwork. And it's ok, that's their choice but at the same time, it feels like it's more important how they look then how they sound. Maybe some people buy them just to look at them, but I buy them to listen to them and that is the most important thing for me. I couldn't care less if they look like a million bucks if they sound like crap. That's why I don't buy picture discs. Sure, they look nice but they sound terrible and defy a purpose of vinyl, unless you buy them to frame them.

I have a system that plays both cd and records. One day i was playing wdmhbn on cd and then i quickly switched modes and managed to drop the needle in appropriate place and the difference was clearly better on vinyl. I did this in the presence of two friends and they both were wowed (and understood why i was buying the same s*** i already had on cd lol).

 

Back in that time, vinyl was true analog and transferred from the tape. Now that music is recorded digitally it seems to be spotty sometimes on finding vinyl of that same quality. I have a few newer records of artists that seem to have that "wall" where the quality is a little disappointing.

 

In some instances researching can answer some of these questions prior to buying. In other cases, information is really limited (often the case). If you see. "AAA" that means analog.

 

And in some cases, even if it isn't analog, it can still sound better than what a cd. Keyword can....with being digital, the idea now often is to highly remaster for a vinyl (which often can be phony s*** really)....even if a record hits that wall it'll still have that vinylish sound that comes from a record.

 

Personally i enjoyed the sound of ssd and deux very much. Great quality. Been awhile since i listened to the others.

 

Examples of newer records that i enjoyed on vinyl were kelly clarkson and pink's latest...an example of one i felt hit a wall maybe was katy Perry's latest. (All three records i love, discussing strictly the sound).
