Céline's albums on vinyl

They look quite gorgeous, can't wait to get my copies. I ordered mine from Amazon.ca so it'll take a bit of time to get here. Minor things I'm picky about when it comes to vinyls. Did they seriously just leave Side D on SSDA completely blank, it looks so bad just having it as black, they could have added a picture for the label. Also, I wish these came with plastic sleeves inside the paper inserts because those inserts create so much static on the vinyl.

Why too bad? Maybe that means we get another gorgeous gatefold jacket like Sans attendre!

 

Unfortunately I think it means a one-sided record. I can't picture myself entertaining friends or having a party and going over to put on a record with only four songs and no B-side! It's hardly worth the effort... even though some of the best songs on the album are those last four.

 

Oh well... I still bought it! I'll change my report if it's better than expected upon arrival.

Back in the day people played seven inch sigles which meant one song per side. Four is pretty decent!

Good old Amazon sent me a huge package with just the 1F4T LP with the others to follow tomorrow, except SSDA which is not coming until Monday.

I had never seen an official vinyl release or re-release of the OH album.. The last one I got copies of was Falling into You... Aside "Loved me back to life" of course...

 

I've seen counterfeit copies of D'eux & TAST on eBay but nothing else....

Maybe an option, I used a Betatape to DVD converter service on eBay where I sent the tape to them, they did the service, and sent it back very quickly. It's relatively cheap and the result is pretty decent.

Me too!!! I don't have a LP player, or collect vinyls, but having that album in vinyl form would be the icing on the cake!!!

Finally the last of the 4 vinyls has arrived.

 

I like how d'eux and 1f4t were all on one record. Despite ssd being on 2 records, I like the sleeves for it, how the edges are off so it slides back in easier. I also like the disc itself.

 

All 4 vinyls have allowed me to rediscover each album. I've allowed this to ignite an interest in collecting many of her other vinyls. In a lot of cases, this is French albums I've never heard before because some are not on cd...and in all honesty I'm not too familiar with her stuff before incognito, maybe like 10 songs or so I can really think of.. so I know I'll have plenty to experience new.
