OH MY GOD!!!!

 

This is a CÉLINE DION song if there ever was one. So many phrases and the way she sings certain words- pure Céline gold. Can't wait to hear HQ. Thank you!!

Listened to it once, and seems like Celine did a great job and Alan Menken could do better :innocent: . I will wait for the movie to have a final thought as surely it will bring more feeling and sense to the song. But anyway sounds beautiful to me even now.

Sounds nice. Great vocals. Top orchestration

But seems that the melody is a bit blant.

Sounds like a Celine that is long gone...

I really don't like the direction her English music takes. Recovering was already bad but this is...

Every single song on Encore Un Soir is ten times better than this...

I agree you would think it was recorded in 97/98

 

I think her ppl may now feel under pressure to release the song

 

I need a few listens before I decide if I like it or not but her voice is beautiful

It's classic Céline for sure. Really want to hear the HQ version but I know I'm going to buy it and love it regardless. It's not chart material. I reckon this track along with Recovering and Show Must Go On won't be on the Standard edition of the new album but feature on the Deluxe version.

Well, that's your opinion and I respect that.

I know I won't be listening to that much either...

it's nice but it's nowhere near to what I'd like to have on the new album.

It's nice but just that. It's a song made for a Disney movie, undoubtedly. The best part of it it's her voice I think.

 

So I like it, but of course this is in no way something I am expecting her to release for her next album. Hope the cheesy, sentimental and bland songs stay away from her reputation for a while :)

 

So it's nice, but just that. And it's a short song, too.

Yeah, but you know how they do it, they use to release the songs that nobody think are "single material" and those who are screaming to be singles are ignored in the most absolute oblivion (Tu sauras?...) LOL

 

Nah of course I don't think they'll promote this further than within the life of this movie. That's what it was made for anyway.

I have a question about Peabo Bryson. For anyone who might know the answer.

 

Back in the day, in order to promote the original film, Disney decided to release "Beauty and the Beast" as a single, and first recruited solely Celine Dion to record a radio-friendly version of it. However, the studio was concerned that the then-relatively obscure singer would not attract a large enough audience in the United States on her own, so they hired the more prominent Bryson to be her duet partner. At first Celine was also hesitant to record "Beauty and the Beast" because she had just recently been fired from recording the theme song of the animated film An American Tail: Fever Goes West in 1991. (Which ended up being a flop by the way) So, my question is: What happened to Peabo's fame? I know he recorded A Whole New World and has continued to release music, but Celine is considerably more famous than him now. Why haven't they performed the song together much during these years? I know Celine is in Vegas now, but there is not many live performances of the song over the years which includes both of them. There are some, but not a lot.

 

And maybe Peabo should have been asked to come back and record something too? Why only Celine? As much as I appreciate a solo song, Peabo should maybe have been brought back for a song of his own.

 

And isn't it ironic that the film score Celine was fired for ended up being a flop, and Beauty And The Beast won Oscar for best original song and best score and a several awards for best song.

That song is simply.. good 😉

 

Her voice seems as pure and powerful as in her golden years. But that song seems perfect to fit on the Deluxe edition of the album. Nothing more.

Some people are so predictable! :D I could see their comments coming from a distance.

 

The song encompasses the brilliance and magic a Disney song is supposed to encompass! And Celine sounds wonderful. Could be one of her classic songs and that says it all IMO.
