I am so curious to listen to this song. I feel like we might get a Recovering 2.0 with this song, but she didn't want to record My Heart Will Go On either, so it could be anything. I'm hoping for a similar song to her 1992 classic, but we'll just have to wait and see.

 

When does the soundtrack/movie release?

Yes, the end of the interview is very interesting, if I heard it well she said:

 

"I'm so proud!

... I mean...

If you get to get older...

That's the way thing should be, man"

 

As we can see Céline is strongly "down to earth" and I really like it.

She actually talks about being positive in this video here, around minute 12 I think. And I do agree with her.

Sincerely, I don't hope for anything nor I'm expecting this song to be a masterpiece. The joy that I feel for Céline's engagement in this new version of "Beauty and the Beast" is more of a symbolic nature.

The ballad, “Evermore,” didn’t appear in the original animated film. It’s a brand-new track written by legendary Disney composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice, who both worked on the music for the 1991 movie.

“I am honored to sing this beautiful new song by two of my absolute favorites, Alan Menken and Tim Rice,” Groban said in a statement. “Beauty and the Beast has been with me since my childhood and to have a musical connection to this new film makes me so happy.”

Apparently, it was not Alan Menken's idea to have Celine back in the new Beauty and the Beast project.... And he wanted to give more details about HDAMLF in this video, but said he couldn't.... aaargh! hahaha

arrangment in this version is waaaay better than that crappy Ariana/John Legend version... this one has the full orchestra, more melodic, classic and more elegant-sounding!

There is no way Celine would have anything but praisings for the Ariana & John Legend cover. The reception of it has been mixed at best, so no reason to hit a fallen tree.

The arrangement is really way better than Ariana/John's version. This arrangement makes it different. Like it's a new song - they change the melody.

The soundtrack album was really in order. So, the first song that will be played in the end credits is Céline's song, then Ariana/Legend then Josh Groban
