I miss her 1990, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002 vocals (by watching her performances in youtube) but 1994 is the best voice for me (LA BAS era) Edited by jpatdeleon09

I wonder what would happen if Celine would take a performance or recording from the '90s, divide it into little chunks and try to imitate herself as precisely as she can. Maybe she would find back some forgotten ways of vocalizing that she used to master back then.

I love this solo version so much! It is amazing how she doesn't run out of breath, doing both parts perfectly!!

 

I heard the Ariana/John Legend version on Z100 this morning (Z100 is probably the biggest radio station in NYC). All the DJs were gushing about how much they loved the new version. Ugh. They didn't even mention Celine! And Celine was interviewed on Z100 when the original BATB came out, back in 1991 or so . . there was a magazine article (maclean's maybe) that followed her during a day of promo and they talked about that interview . . .

One of my favorite part in beauty and the beast song is the part where celine is doing the "MMMMMMMMMMM OOO WOAH OH WOAH! Ever just the same...." And the intrumentals before that Mmmmmmmm haha They cut that part since 2002 in her live performances. They should bring back that the full version. Edited by jpatdeleon09

Lol i just heard 90 seconds of "beauty and the best" soundtrack on iTunes. It's terrible! it's sounds like a demo. Like a low budget karaoke song. You know those karaoke bars that don't have the rights to play the exact music of a certain song, so they play a cheap, poor quality version... thats what it sounds like

 

After hearing that, i got to say that i'm not expecting much from Celine's song... :S

Well, it can't be as disappointing as this new version. Not hard to beat, plus it's Celine...so..

I think so, if the song starts right away at the end of the movie... i mean Celine's voice is so distinctive that people will be intrigued and will probably stay to listen.

They keep teasing us with the orchestral version of BATB like in this new BTS clip... but until know all we have is the horrible karaoke/MIDI version..
