Wow, this is amazing. Let's hope it'll be the main theme song to the movie. Or hopefully Beauty and the Beast 2.0.

 

Maybe Celine's original Beauty and the Beast song will be featured on the soundtrack?

So I just watched the trailer to BATB 2017 and the beginning music sounds an awful lot like the demo piano music and in the trailer it is beautiful! Much more magical with full arrangement. Also at the end of the trailer there is a rose and the petals fall off and it almost looks like the new rose visual in MHWGO that they just added to the LV show. Probably a coincidence but I thought it was neat. Just my observations.

This is such FANTASTIC NEWS.

 

This is exactly what the general public wants from Celine. And, honestly, it's what I want from Celine too! Celine, continue to embrace the fact that you're elegant and classy and there's no need to be edgy. She's been trying too hard, in my opinion, to be edgier with her last few English releases -- starting with Taking Chances. I am SO ready for some beautiful ballads like the 90s when CELINE DION was THE DIVA.

 

I love this news for so many reasons. She truly loves Beauty and The Beast. It really did put her on the map. And Celine is known for singing for motion pictures. She will always have THE Iconic song for a film: My Heart Will Go On/Titanic. So it just makes so much sense for her to continue that legacy.

 

It also makes sense that this new song will be the actual theme song for the film! They can't re-use the original Beauty and The Beast theme song because then they would not have the chance to get the song nominated for an Academy Award.

 

I hope that Celine will be able to sing this new song at the Oscars. She has performed so many times at the Oscars and I hope that continues. What a classy Diva Celine Dion is. Love her so much and proud of her for this very wise career move. It's getting a lot of positive BUZZ.

 

I also love how, no matter how hard they try, Ariana and John's version of BATB will pale in comparison. At least this re-release of the song will get Celine some more attention! I'm sure Celine's original version will get a lot of new listens/YouTube views with the release of this upcoming remake of the film/song.

 

Celine's voice is sure to sound lovely on this track. It's a DISNEY movie so the stakes are higher. Celine will bring her A-game and the producers will have high expectations. Her voice sounded so crystalline on Recovering and I'm sure this will be no different. I really hope for at least one powerful moment/belt in the song, and I hope it's got some magic like the original BATB!

 

So excited for 2017! Celine might be associated with The Voice, I'm sure the Vegas show will continue to evolve, and we'll learn more about the new English album.

 

It's good to be a Celine fan. Especially when we see "contemporaries" like Mariah, we realize how lucky we are.

I quite like it in the stripped-down piano version. Not quite Tim Rice's best lyrical work, but I'll take it! (Jesus Christ Superstar has always been my favourite! English version of Plamondon's Starmania...not so much.)

But this new tune is sweet, and has some lines that I imagine sounding heavenly coming from Celine. It is rather short though...unless that Menken version is just an excerpt.

I don't like the arrangement of Almost Home. It seems almost like it's competing with Mariah's voice. It's too aggressive.

I wore that album out! I still have the original album! Jesus Christ Superstar was the first of it's kind, genius collaboration between Rice and Webber! One of my favorite parts is:

"Now why'd you choose such a backward time

I saw somewhere yesterday that Ariana was trying dresses for the BATB video supposedly so maybe Celine would have a video too?! Sorry I don't remember where I saw it.
