I think I like the working tite "Our Song Lives On" better but it's ok :-D

I wonder which song will be released as a single...?

Oh, and other things to celebrate here:

 

1) That Celine herself - not some studio big-wig or press release - got to announce it, and

2) First-person Tweeting!

(Even if it's not actually her Tweeting / Insta / FB-posting it's always nice to have something signed "-Celine" rather than TC. Her social media is definitely getting more personal than the corporate messages of yore. Def moving in the right direction!)

 

 

... and 3) My other Montreal-born faves - Arcade Fire - also out with new music today!

Omg!!!!! I can't believe such AMAZING news I literally DIED. I actually became a fan of Celine through Beauty and the Beast and I'm super glad she's going to be part of the film! It would also be great media exposure to Celine in relation to her music for upcoming English album. Can't wait to be in the theater in March 17 :)

I like how so many on here, when it was announced that Ariana had the title track of the new movie that it was because Céline was old and uncool and Disney wouldn't go for Céline as no-one had heard of her anymore.. It seems loyalty still survives and they obviously think a lot of her (and probably Rene) from those golden days in the 90s. Icon!!!

I am glad i was wrong Stevo! It seems to be the maintheme i heard. Couldn't be more proud! Our diva still gets what she deserves and i hope she touches a new generation who did not know her yet.

It is going to be Emma Thompson this time. But it would be cool that Angela Lansbury takes part in some symbolical way.

I'm happy she is involved because this will be a little bit of push hype buuuut, don't get my expectations too high... the movie is going to be a big s**t comparing with the one and only original animated one... this will be a plof as all real character adaptations Disney is doing the last years... too much of computer CGI and too little soul. And I pressume the song will be in that rush production line (as the movie)

 

As for the release dates, I'm pretty sure this song will not be in any Oscars ceremony... Too late for this year to be nominated and too soon for 2018 ceremony. I think BATB will be very forgettable as Cinderella, Maleficient or The Jungle Book...

 

With all, I wish I'm wrong and this is a hit buuut.... I prefer to have my expectations low...

I love no. 3 the most!!!

It always melts my heart when I hear of Celine fan appreciation towards alternative music scene. I also finding that fascinating since Arcade Fire is so far away from what Celine's music is. I'm happy I'm not alone here ;)

 

Back to the topic. I have low commercial expectations actually. Few Disney songs didn't succeed for some reason. I guess different times, different rules. As long as the song is good I'll be happy!

The quality of the movie doesn't matter ( this time. .. but nobody remember up close & personal or the bicentennial man ).

 

The fact is she is associated to one of the most expected movies of the year and I don't remember last time she was ...

That's another level than the Muppets or les Tuques or Song for Marion. .. sorry.

 

All previous live Disney movies (from animated ones) have gathered a lot of international attention, and were successful(as critically as commercially ).

 

Celine's voice will again resonate in all movies theaters ww. .. so good.

Always... so then I don't have to come here and cry loud how dissapointed am I... hehehehe ;-) if when I hear it I love it... I will come and jump.. but until then... I'll have my expectations low.. hehe... But lets' don't talk about myself.. hahahaha I'm really curious about what is going to happen..

I hope celine's voice will sound great when they released it. I hope the producer will make celine's voice blends with the music. Not forward. Not dry. I hope we can get a 15s preview :)
