There were lots of people trying to sell their tickets. Outside of Bercy in Paris, the police was seen confiscating tickets that were being sold outside I didn't see it myself but only heard.

 

I tried selling my ticket on Viagogo and Ebay or original price but no luck. But I was lucky to sell it outside Célines hotel, or else it would have been an empty seat.

Depends on how big the artist is. I'd say Céline would get 90% (she's huge). So that's a LOT of money. But out of that money, she would have to pay her staff and band right?

Yeah I'd say. I'm curious what a band member makes from touring for almost 2 months away from home and family.

 

And then she has extra security, expensive private plane rides, expensive hotel (2-3 floors apartments)

While touring definately pays off, it's less than that.

After reducing the "general" costs of the revenue (like taxes, fees, royalties, insurances), what's left is split by the artist and the promotor. And from there its split in even more categories (managers, band, crew, roadies, the venues, transport, etc.).

 

But in the end Céline prob receives about $750k - $1M per concert (including merchandise revenue).

Usually this is the main split: headliner, opening act, promotor. And from there its split in even more categories (managers, band, crew, roadies, the venues, plane, etc.).

Yeah exactly. I know a girl trying to get tickets to a Berlin show but somehow the payment wouldn't go through. The few minutes later the tickets were sold and she found them on one of these scalpers website for a LOT higher price!!

I would think it's the production company or the costs to rent out the arena, no?

The price difference is really considerable. I can not find a reason why berlin should be more expensive than Paris for example. I paid in berlin 188 eur for the middle block. In all other cities I could have sat for the same money in the most expensive category. The most expensive tickets, without vip, have cost 300 eur.

My VIP ticket for Berlin cost me £110 more than any of the other ones I bought!!

My 4th row seat in Berlin was €290+ whereas in other shows, I paid about £170 for the same seat!

It's something "German", the prices of the German concerts during the TC tour in 2008 were very high too (as was also apparent to all the empty seats in the stadiums). Maybe it's the taxes and the fees in Germany..?

That was awful, She performed in half empty stadiums and did way too many shows in Germany during TCWT.

There is no reason to leave Germany. The two concerts were sold out despite the very high prices. Sorry for polen that it did not work this year.
