I'm sad it's over too , but I'm used to it now , I have been worse coming home from Las Vegas , I think I get less sad now, cause I met her now , before I used to feel so under pressure to meet her and sad That I didn't , but now that I have I feel less bad after concerts if that makes sense ! That was something I had to fulfil ! It's so exciting going to see Celine / looking forward to it , travelling to exciting places all adds to it ...... Then boom after a few hours it's over ...... But somehow we have to be ok ...... I'm sure there are lots of other people who are a mess ! I saw lots of people crying at the end of the show last night ! I think I'm just focusing on the fact , she will tour again / maybe next summer ?? I know in my heart I will always travel to see her ...... So it's never over then ...... Only for a while ...... Until then we have all the deranged Celine news on this forum to keep us occupied !!

 

Hell yes .. & I'm sure someone will notify us of when she leaves Paris too

I think the only thing that I missed/surprised me was that EUS wasn't represented at the English shows. I would have bet everything that at least EUS would be performed.

Can you tell me why you thought that? I can't see why it would be, honestly. I think they think that English speakers will tolerate/put up with one, in this case two, French songs but that's it, and they have to be either wellknown like PQTME is or have a dance like La Ballet. So yes, EUS is the newest material, period, but aside from that, what would make you think she would do it? That would have been nice, but...

I'd imagine she will be. She's had a lot of fun during the tour & she has been given a LOT of love on stage. It would be hard not to be sad.

 

I am sure she will also be happy that she can rest a little & spend time with her loved ones though. All that travelling to & from Paris must've taken its toll.

I really love the way tcoml was performed. She sounded so pure and warm during that song(why did the cut it!!!). And one of my personal favourite is thlal(so sad she performed once only). And think twice sounded way much better than any of her previous performance. How could she did that omg. And to me, black or white did not have any special meaning and it sounded not that great as others songs.

 

I think they should set the set list based on the hits in every country. Especially in the UK, lmbtl, thlal and misled should have been performed as they are all hits there

I've heard recorded versions today from the albums they come from, of Love Is All We Need and That's The Way It Is and I'm Alive. Those songs sound soooooo different to me now, newer now in a way, since they were done on this year's tour. Am I the only one?

Exactly that, because it's her latest French release. To me performing a French song is no different to performing a lesser known English song. I saw people leaving to get drinks etc during PQTME but also during RTD/LIAWN etc. I personally think that LB was only kept in for the last English shows because of social media. The reaction of the media. But hey maybe I'm wrong 😂

You're right, and I understand your point of view. My problem is, that everybody was asking for a DVD for months, and now, when there is a big big chance for a release, everybody is complaining because of her hair, or of the wrong shows being filmed. I was there in Berlin, that show was just stunning, and I would be really happy, if we could get that show on dvd. But, if we get the London show, I will be also satisfied.

 

Everyone wants the show he/she has attended to be the one released on DVD...

 

Well I am going to be angry. I don't think that's wrong. It's how I feel. I mean I had given up hope but to see a sign that said they were recording for Tv/DVD purposes and then get nothing I think any fan wouldn't be happy. Angry is the word I used because I'm just frustrated with this whole situation. I just feel like since Rene died we haven't gotten much. I mean before it felt like we always got something even with her Vegas contract. (Perhaps I shouldn't have said super angry but honestly I wasn't thinking when I wrote. I didn't think anyone would read into it much.) Now I just feel like her team is super narrow minded. I am sorry my first post may have come off a bit harsh but I guess I felt like you were attacking me. I apologize. I realize things get cancelled but I'm allowed to have wants too. I still am not saying either owe me anything just that my opinion of her team is that they are playing with us. Perhaps I am wrong but I needed to voice my personal perspective of this issue at this point

 

Like the "cancelled" bonus DVD that was going to be in the EUS deluxe edition? Remember that one? Add it to the list of cancelled DVDs too. I think they have a problem with cancelling DVDs and videoclips here

There was. On 25 July, just a year ago, the first picture that Amazon shared of the EUS coffret/deluxe edition included a cardsleeve with "Les coulisses" on it (meaning "behind the scenes"), so it was a making of the album feature.

 

EDIT: How strange!! I just cheched on Amazon UK and they still use this picture for the deluxe editon! That's interesting! lol

I think she's always loved dancing, like in AND, but never quite knew how to tackle it! Glad she's taking risks, they're paying off!

Whilst Céline had her 18 months off, during her transition period from teen to woman, she took a lot of dance lessons, as she felt it would help make René see her in a different light... those dance lessons certainly paid off..

I will never understand those who say we don't need DVD/Blu-ray for this tour because there are perfectly good videos on YouTube . Dear lord, does anyone anymore watch the concerts on normal TV's and sound systems and not on their phones, tablets and laptops because if that amateur sound someone records is "good" for some people as a legacy for this tour than I rest my case. It's true that some are satisfied with certain things and I accept that but to say objectively that amateur footage filmed with phone cameras is good and we don't need professional recording is beyond me. I guess something is wrong with my hearing then because no matter how good the sound is on those clips, it's rubbish when you listen to it on any sound system. But what do I know, I guess it's more important for some to have documentary of her walking the streets of Paris in hundreds of different outfits than to have official recording of the concert of the ARTIST I like. I thought I'm a Celine fan because of her music, silly me .

 

I really hope this information about them releasing only a documentary is false and we'll get normal concert DVD/Blu-ray. I don't mind a documentary, but not if it means not releasing the concert.

 

Seems lots of fans live their lifes through mobile phones' screens here and resign themselves with YouTube , and they no longuer enjoy watching something actually on a TV and with the best quality possible.

The "post-René" Celine looks happier and is a little bit closer to what we always have wanted her to be/do ?

I don't say 'yes' or 'not', but I cannot stop thinking about it.

I think we are seeing her happier in a way when she's in Paris. She's out more and we get to see her do stuff we aren't used to see her do.

 

Sure she's happier that she has been for a while but it doesn't mean wasn't this happy before René got sick.

 

Her life was just different. She had her husband and her kids to go home to. Now she has her kids but no husband to fulfill her life. She undoubtedly loves spending time with her kids but also need to do grown up stuff. I think today she's doing things that she maybe always really wanted to do but since maybe René didn't want to and that held her back (just speculation)

She had to be at his side, had to have the shows in Vegas, tv interviews, etc. Don't throw a block on me, but I think, his death was a relief in a way. She also mentioned in several interviews, that seeing him suffering was the hardest part of his sickness for her.

 

On the other side, I have to agree with you, angelil78. Her life is much more different now, withouth René. I don't think, she felt like René is holding her back, but I'm sure, there were a few things, what she wanted to do, but René said 'no' (as she was talking in an interview with Julie Synder about her dress for the Oscars). Sometimes holding her back was a really good decision, imo, but now it can be really emancipating, trying out some stuff she haven't done yet.

It's sad to me that she looks so frail to some, that people can tell she has been through the wringer. Also, I sooooooooo agree, I would love the last show to be recorded in some way because yes, I think it will be epic. Even audio would be amazing, especially since, for me, that's all I have. I have also been curious what she smells like. I heard once it was a floral scent, does that sound right to anyone? I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not ready for this tour to be over but I know, come tomorrow, it will all be! Have a fabulous time to all who are going!

I read somewhere, maybe in the biography, that she doesn't wear perfume much, if ever, because it affects her vocals.

So this is Céline's dancer and some Spanish fans I had the privilege to meet too in the London shows last weekend They're not on this forum, but they're crazy fans too My face looked so tired after no sleep for two days, organising the trip ony 24 hours before the show, not fitting in the plane, the bed, etc lol

 

Pepe is taller than what he looks on the videos and pictures, I was surprised. Very nice and funny man also. I can see why Céline is having him around all the time during the tour!

 

Still need to save all my pictures and videos from my mobile to the computer. I hate that process lol

when my mom was sick for years, it was the hardest time of my life, so much pain to see her suffering, I couldn't even look at her because it was too painful to see. So when my mom pass away, yes it was a "relief". It might be sound so wrong, but believe me,it was eleven years ago but I'm still mourning. I'm living a happy life, but my heart still mourning. So I really understand what happen with Celine. It's not that my mom holding back of me, or I'm happy with her death, it's wasn't like that. It's just life is different in a way after what happened to me. The love and the mourn never gone, but life's goes on.

Agree, I think many of us has lost a loved one that was sick for a while. My grandmother was and I was relieved when she passes but I miss her every day and will her for the rest of my life. But I was so happy she wasn't suffering anymore.
