The most complete female artist living in this century that I know Céline has often said singing is a career and writing songs is another. I never liked how radically she separated both things, because being a singer and songwriter is as common as can be, but I get it is not given to everyone. Same as I say this, I do say that Céline has both skills. She has the voice -that's undeniable - but she also has the writing skills and she proved it. Celine Dion's vocals ALONE are for the history books. Maybe if Celine's voice wasn't this crystalline once in a lifetime masterpiece then she'd feel more compelled & obligated to write songs / be more involved with production aspects in order to make up for lackluster vocals (Shania, modern day Mariah). But Celine Dion's bilingual Iconic career and legendary voice speaks for itself. Not to mention her work ethic and number of live concerts is unprecedented for most artists. ;) Indeed. But there will come a time in which her golden vocals will start to diminish (and there's no way she can fake the audience using playback then). That's why I urge she records new albums more often that what she's doing now. I've always felt more excited about having new recordings from her than new tours announced. She's giving priority to performing countless shows and recording has become secondary, when it should be the opposite, recording more as long as she has that great voice, and then reducing the number of shows she gives per year. Quality over quantity. That's why I absolutely abhore all the projects she turned down while doing Vegas, killing that voice doing repetitive shows with that not-so-great voice (because she was already abusing her voice) instead of keeping it for recording those so long desired Jazz and Spanish albums... that never came in the end Damn Vegas. Damn ambition for always adding new shows like an autopilot singing machine. The days of her best vocals in 2002 were thrown to waste between 2003 and 2006 Quote "Hush, now... At first I thought it was a bit weird she wasn't with the kids around Paris but I then realized she's just not any working mother, she works around the clock, and I'm sure Linda more then understands that and gives her rest time as need be! Just look at the pictures : picture without Celine : yellow t-shirt, picture with Celine : different outfits. Those pictures were not taken the same day. How Can I be sure ? Because this day ( yellow t-shirt ) was the 5th of July, I saw them going back to the hotel with those outfits, and bags from Galeries Lafayette.
