That's what I thought!!

Already starting the rehearsals for London, and maybe tour.

 

So after Saturday, do you think she will rehearse in other places, or she can still use the colloseum?

 

 

 

Thanks to brendamn999 for getting this clarified. She was trying to say Celine was late due to them rehearsing for the BST show.

She will probably rent out a basic rehersal studio, or maybe, as she did for the TCWT, rent out MGM or T-Mobile arena to rehearse and do the final touches for BST.

She said she's rehearsing in Montreal (which makes perfect sense since that's where most of her team is based, not to mention it's much cheaper).

True, but all the negative space she has between June 8th and July 5th she will be in Vegas, and the colosseum wont be an option to use for rehersals for BST or for The Tour, so she will probably be renting out a space or two to do so

We can start betting when the next residency will come. I say 2022.

 

Part of me cringes at the thought, but part of me loves the idea just because it makes her so accessible and she'd have to have a totally new concept with a new show.

If she does this, I really hope she takes a page out of Gaga's book and does two different show - one for the masses, with the obligatory hits, and one "'anti-tour" show, with rarities, French songs, more experimental fare. I don't care if the ratio is 10/1 or the B show only plays once or twice a month - but I'd venture to say it would be of far more interest to many of us here and it would keep things fresh and interesting for her.

If we get a dvd of the same show we got from Tokyo minus the two songs people most enjoyed (the reason/think twice) i will be so utterly disappointed considering there were like five other different setlists that could have been selected from. 2011, 2015, 2016 french, 2017 french, 2017 english.

I just don’t get the whole thing about filming. I mean last year Netflix tweets about her then she follows them they follow each other. Then we get that little clip of her in the hallway with Nelson telling her to have a great show, etc etc. Then this sign saying they are filming in Vegas, I mean what in the world is going on? Frustrating! :rolleyes:

As long as the sound quality will not be like this...

 

 

The mic's volume sounds high that reaches the red level.. that's why it sounds distorted

They just posted about how Celine has been singing RDMH for “16” years in Las Vegas....

thankfully, it wasn’t 16 years because it started the last year of the first show in 2007 but regardless hopefully they know that have played this song to death and it’s ready to retire for the new tour. It wasn’t even a “hit” song for Celine why are still obligated to listen to it lol??? She has to be bored of it by now. Just because people seem to “love” it in Vegas doesn’t it mean it’s necessary true, people are excited because she does the song while people are literally feet and inches away from a living legend in the pit. She could sing the phone book and people would go nuts down there but it’s beyond time to retire that song.

According to the reads she left the colosseum at 3 am, maybe she was filming something?

It’s kinda ridiculous when Celine has performed this Tina song more often that Tina.

I have many casual Celine fans in my life — no one her loves her as much as I do, of course — but they all adore RDMH. These are the people who grew up in the United States back in the mid 90s when the Falling Into You album was THE album to own. Many of them associate the song with Celine more so than Tina.

 

I can’t say that tho. People I know more associate the FIY album with of course BYLM, IACBTMN, ABM and then it goes to others like “Declaration Of Love” , “Fly” and “ Call The Man”.

Obviously it wasnt a HIT. Doesnt mean it hasnt become iconic for her. Crickey, Proud Mary wasnt a “hit” for Tina Turner (mostly got Top 40 everywhere except the US and The UK, US it went to #4 however was hardly a big hit) yet people went BALLiSTIC for that song. And of course you could use the uptempo argument, but there’s something about *that* song. A song doesnt have to be a hit on a chart for it to be iconic or a staple of someones shows. If we examine her performances of RDMH, many crowds got more into that than IDAN, case and point the mini tour of 2017 and even TCWT. My own mother was so happy to see it and was SO into it when we saw Céline back in 2013. And id say considering that casual fans, people who only know the hits of Celine (aka 70% of the concert attendees) Lose it for RDMH... it explains itself, however i can see your point of view

That’s where you are wrong.... a lot of people relate RDMH with Celine.

Of course, stuffed the song into almost two decades of live performances and people relate the song to Celine. My point being time to give other songs that spotlight.
