I was translating Céline's latest interview with '7 Jours' for my blog and I noticed she said something weird... When she starts talking about her upcoming show in Vegas she mentions she's been doing the same show for the last three years and half. Ok, I know she's never been too good with numbers nor dates but March of 2011 is far from being 3 years and half ago LOL

 

Yeah she's off a bit but not that much really,for Celine! She was off for a year for a start. Think it must be about 4 and a half years now 😂that's actually counting the shows and not just from the premiere in March 2011 if you understand what I'm trying to write? 😂😂

According to The Red Heads, "The preparation of a complete new Las Vegas show has started with Gilles Ste-Croix".

That's good news but first I would love to have the current show filmed and released on dvd and blu ray... ;)

 

For the new show I think Celine should include some less known songs from her repertoire.

 

By the way...

"I Surrender" must be used as a single of the future dvd or blu-ray of "Celine".

In the new 7 jours interview, Celine said that they are currently working on a new Vegas show with Aldo and Gilles Ste-Croix, that she has a lot of great ideas. She also said that they are working slowly and no dates have been given.

Is this in reference to a brand new show or just updates to current show??

 

Any timeline given?

I wonder if she'd be brave enough to just stay in one outfit? She does like to dress tho....

I'm going in Jan. so hopefully they are talking about changes with this break!

Oh actually I translated it into Spanish since my blog is Celine Dion Spain, but here are the most interesting facts from the interview:

 

· She's taking her time to record the upcoming English album, dedicating as much time as possible to each new song that comes to her.

· She decided to cancel 5 shows in Vegas while she was on the plane, coming back from the ADISQ gala.

· A new Vegas show is being prepared by her and her team. She's getting really involved on it.

So surprised Celine has plans for a new show! :mellow: Whether that means extending her current residency or not. Goes to show how much she loves being a performer there! And that she is passionate about her art still. At this point there is no doubt about that. I am surprised but happy for her! Edited by LukeD

I think this new show is prepared for extending of her contract, maybe there will be new show also whith new name of it who knows.

Is it correct while she was on the plane she decided to cancel? I understood she was talking when she was returned from Montreal she decided.

I have a question, what ever happen to Mego and the rest of her band ? And what ever happen to her dancers from the TCWT, You never hear anything from them , what have they been up to now a days

Also it's weird she cancelled those 5 shows on the plane because she still ended up doing a few shows first when she got back

2015! It has not been the same for that long! Just a bit more than a year.

 

I think the show, as we know it, will go on till 2019. She will then take a small break and be back for her third residency. The fact that she seems to be so into it excites me!

Just record the one we have first and then go right ahead and do a new show no problem but my only true request to her team is to film this one as is first. I will def be returning to Vegas if there is a new show/new residency

Well, I saw the australian guy (Zac I think) dancing in a Britney show.

From what I heard , there will not be much change the first half of shows, Maybe later , but if so I cant wait to see what's up the sleave

I am not expecting any changes soon. I think her vision is about future shows! Like after 2018. I think we are getting the same show this year since the revamp is rather recent.

Same! I think she refers to a new show after 2020. I sense it will be a lot more energetic than the current one. Much like the first one, but less extravagant.
