No i never heard those songs before besides Britney's song. So i am sure Celine has never heard them either. Ellen is only trying to get a laugh on the back of poor Celine. And it failed miserably. And of course she was copying Jimmy Fallon. To the person saying that she wasn't, . If Celine had said the word "*CENSORED*" it would have been funny. But Celine didn't want to say the word even though its fine to say it on tv. When Celine does things like that, thats why people say she's for granny's. Sometimes artistry is more than numbers, album sales and popularity you know.

 

I'm not trying to be rude or argumentative with you but I really cringe at the idea of expecting an artist we supposedly admire to do things completely out of character just because we want them to be more popular. I understand where you're coming from and what you mean, I get it. I want her to be popular and relevant till she's 90 because she's worth it

 

Can you imagine Britney starting to sing power ballads and dressing in gowns? Or Madonna starting to sing swing and big band jazz?

 

I think that Celine is evolving as an artist as she is maturing and she does everything in her power to stay relevant, without however compromising her integrity. And personally, I salute that.

i was really surprised by her refusing to say *CENSORED*. I'm sure I can remember a recording of her in a show somewhere or a recording studio or somewhere, maybe they had been mostly speaking French, and she said some swear words. I remember being so surprised to hear it, because she had always been very conservative with her words. Do you think Rene told her a real star never swears, she she's said he coached her on so many other things? Does she swear in any songs? I know Why oh Why has "so secure and so damn sure" in the lyrics, but she doesn't sing it.

She said it when she was telling the story about David Foster saying her singing was "bitchin" and she thought he had called her a b itch. Pretty sure it's on the Unison VHS, which was once upon a time on YouTube, and she sort of almost whispered the word when she said it. It was adorable.

 

On the Ellen show -- Celine was on daytime TV, and she has this squeaky-clean image to maintain. So it made sense that she didn't say it then. Doesn't mean she's never said it in her life. I wouldn't say it at work, either . . . which is essentially where Celine was.

Oh, I love love love the performancee. This song is perfect for her. She deliveres it flawlessly ans with so much emotion.

I also adore the red outfit. And the hair. And her little at the end when the audience is aplauding and Ellen comes in. She's so charming.

I think Céline should cut out the improptu vocals as they don't nearly show her at her best. I think she's best when left to run riot like on the Today Show! Her game show was brilliant and I loved hiw she interacted with her victims... i mean guests. She acted like a crazy lady, interupting everyone and taking over everything but I think that's when she's at her most charming! They didn't cut her off everytime she spoke,like Ellen, they embraced it and encouraged her!

Are you even serious right now? Really? Lose alot of fans? People need to really chill-lax a bit. First of all it's not like Celine is out rightly calling someone a b*tch. It's the word in a freakin' song. It's a cultural colloquialism. It's even allowed on TV/radio in USA. The context is not to defame someone. It is an endearing exp<b></b>ression. Actually Ellen was just fine with Celine and laughed at all her jokes and their was no awkwardness. In fact they were very funny together. Remember when Celine did her vocal warm ups on Ellen show and Ellen was captivated that Celine could do that with her voice and wanted to copy her. But it wasn't until Ellen decided one day to attack RC and his hairstyle and Celine would not have it. Celine's instinct kicked in and put Ellen in her place. From then Ellen started acting weird towards Celine. It wasn't until another 5 years til Celine was invited on the show again.
