By the way, why does she say that luggage thing all the time? Is it a metaphor for something? I never heard it before. Is it common in English language?

 

Yes a metaphor however the audience took it literally. It's not a common phrase in English as far as I know.

 

The closest thing we might say in English is that someone "has baggage," but the connotation is a bit different from what Celine is trying to get across, I think. If someone "has baggage," they have unresolved issues/problems that they carry around with them, so maybe the audience laughed because they thought that's what she was saying about her kids, like in a joking way?? Either way, I think she could find a new metaphor, at least for English interviews.

It' simple. Luggage is what you carry with you when you fly. Period. Don't overthink. She's happy. she's moving on.. she has her 3 luggage with her.

I loved her performance of the song here. It was so amazing, I was just able to listen to it in full and it's perfect! I like it better then the SU2C one. I noticed she has worn red every time she has sung this. I wonder if red means something to her as she sings the song? Maybe it has a secret message? Who knows, but just some food for thought.

I just watched the whole interview and I must say I was really glad to hear her talk about RC and how she's always telling him that he is not the man of the house now, meaning that it's not his responsability to take care of her and his brothers, and how she was concerned that he would feel that way. I always felt that this might happen in his 15 year old head after Rene passed.

 

It was interesting to know that she did have that conversation with him.

 

Also, it was funny when Celine talked about RC and Ellen said 'oh, the stud' and then mentioned that everybody was talking about how good looking he is.

Shows like this are different the way they are distributed. Most times are different for every area. So they probably just started airing but not all will show until sometimes 5 or 6 pm western usa time.
