I love Ellen's show and always enjoy Celine. I haven't really cared for these song bite singing times that show hosts have begun to employ. They are funny with regular people but not someone who sings like Celine. Also, sorry to be complaining, but I absolutely HATED her outfit! OMG. This is the first time I can really say I found no redeeming value in anything she was wearing. It was not a flattering look and the color of the blouse was all wrong against her skin. UGH! I love seeing what Celine is wearing. She is always so cute in anything.....just not this time!

Personally, I'm tired of artists undressing to get on stage, cursing like sailors and resorting to all sorts of antics in order to be popular. For some people, Kanye West is cool. To me, he is a joke and anything but an artist.

You don't understand what I'm saying. It may sound endearing but the word itself is anything but. Yes, I use it. Even in the "manner" you are speaking of. But it's not a word that should ever be considered endearing, as a lot of people do find it offensive. I was NOT in any way implying that Celine would be cursing like a sailor or undressing on stage if she said the word b*. I'm just saying that given that today's norm is for people to deliberately "undress" onstage (and not accidentally show their panties lol) and try to present a "cool" persona in order to get fans, it's VERY VERY VERY refreshing (to me at least) to have artists like Celine who rely on their talent alone.

 

Also, Celine is NOT a nun by any means, I wouldn't be a fan if she was I'm not a prude neither do I believe that saying b$&% or f)#* or whatever else would tarnish Celine's reputation in my eyes. I'm just saying that she's so far maintained an image that wouldn't agree with her saying b*$ on Ellen. And in fact, I think that her doing what she did was WAAAAY bbbbbb.....etter (and more attention grabbing) than if she had sung what was on the teleprompter.

 

So basically, we all want her to be No1 till she's 90 or 102 but we all have different opinions as to what is the best way for her to achieve that I think, however, that herself, Aldo and the entire team behind them knows exactly what they are doing so we might discuss this for as long as we want but in the end of the day it's not our call.

And who are you to say what is "fouled mouth" and what isn't. In the 50's, saying the word penis or vagina on the radio was considered "foul mouthed" and you would be fined for saying such a word in public. These days you can freely say the word B.itch on tv or radio. And here is where you feel silly after reading my previous reply. So now you're saying you curse like a sailor, cuz you probably realize you do sound like a prude after all.

And the definition is what some people look at more closely. I'm a drag queen...in our community, we use the C word to describe something that's on point. That doesn't mean that someone won't be offended by it. And we have become a foul mouthed society. You have kids as young as 10 having cuss words coming out of their mouths. Swearing may be more common, but that doesn't mean we are any less foul mouthed. You're all up in arms because Celine didn't curse in a song. Because she didn't want to. Because she was at work.
