I read he actually went to see her show several times (the original AND). He was so intrigued with the whole theatrics and presentation.

I legit cried when she walked out back when I saw the show in it's original state. It's breathtaking when you first see her. It was like all those years of waiting it was finally happening a moment I thought would never come. I was seeing her live. So to the person who's first time it is hopefully you'll have a similar experience.

I wonder if she'll still open the show with With One More Look At You or go back to I Surrender... I think the best idea would be to pick a new song to open the show since WOMLAY might give the image that she's still stuck in overcoming René's loss (which is normal of course, each person needs their time), but my guess is that that's not the image she wants to give to her fans.

 

Starting the show with a song called I Surrender after losing René wouldn't be the best idea either... So we'll see!

Also a great idea!!! But of course JTAE doesn't have a good "curtain drop" moment... and I doubt they'll get rid of the curtain drop.

I'd be thrilled if the curtain drop were removed altogether. It's not as original as some think. "O" does the same thing, but in a much grander and more original way. Plus, the curtain gets put back in that show in a very clever way, too.

 

I honestly feel, even after the recent changes, "Celine" still has yet to find its "voice". (No, I'm not referring to its singer.) The show still feels to me like an uneven mishmash of random covers and some of her own material. I really wish they would have stuck with the Hollywood films soundtrack concept. At least the show would have HAD a clear concept. Plus, there would have been a darn good chance we would have finally seen Celine perform "Then You Look At Me" live. Plus, "I'm Alive" would have fit well due to "Stuart Little 2." "Beauty And The Beast," "Because You Loved Me," "When I Fall In Love" and "My Heart Will Go On" all would have fit for obvious reasons. Plus, "Unfinished Songs" would have been able to be incorporated effortlessly as well once it was released. Just imagine the show opening with "Then You Look At Me" and closing with "My Heart Will Go On." A beautiful Hollywood movies show with James Horner/Will Jennings bookends. God, if only!

why do people need a concept, the imporant thing is what people feel during the show. When you watch a David Lynch movie, you are not looking for a concept, there is none. you just accept the emotions it makes you feel.

This is what I strongly feel has been lacking from Celine's shows for quite some time.

i understand , for me it is not important the concept, i don't have to understand consciously. I just have to be interested, and i,m often more interested in things i don't understand. For someone else , it is different. But those shows are doing good..
