Brandon Posted May 17, 2016 at 03:18 AM Posted May 17, 2016 at 03:18 AM Itse a shame she and prince never recorded something together. Ah well since she always does duets with dead people, I guess sooner or later we get one ahahaha I'm curious about this too?? Lol I'm also curious as to when this took place? AND perhaps? I would love for him to have had a residency there!!I read he actually went to see her show several times (the original AND). He was so intrigued with the whole theatrics and presentation. 1 Quote https://media.giphy....zviuO/giphy.gif
Kristinaz Posted May 17, 2016 at 03:21 AM Posted May 17, 2016 at 03:21 AM I legit cried when she walked out back when I saw the show in it's original state. It's breathtaking when you first see her. It was like all those years of waiting it was finally happening a moment I thought would never come. I was seeing her live. So to the person who's first time it is hopefully you'll have a similar experience. P.S. Guys I'll be back tomorrow night doing my usual IG video posting for y'all 5 Quote

Celine Fan 77 Posted May 17, 2016 at 10:07 AM Posted May 17, 2016 at 10:07 AM I wonder if she'll still open the show with With One More Look At You or go back to I Surrender... I think the best idea would be to pick a new song to open the show since WOMLAY might give the image that she's still stuck in overcoming René's loss (which is normal of course, each person needs their time), but my guess is that that's not the image she wants to give to her fans. Starting the show with a song called I Surrender after losing René wouldn't be the best idea either... So we'll see! I Drove All Night! Posted May 17, 2016 at 05:15 PM Posted May 17, 2016 at 05:15 PM (edited) Celine media-stalking party tonight at 7:30pm PT.... be here or be square! :whee: FYI... for those of you wondering what time the show starts in your time zone this is a great tool! Just enter the date and time (5/17 7:30pm) and then choose USA-Las Vegas, NV as the location. Choose whatever time zone you're in and it will automatically calculate what time it is in your time zone http://www.timeandda.../converter.html ALSO! I know she's already done it, but I feel like ANDHC would be SOOOOOO beautiful and fitting as an opening song given the situation. But my number one choice is still TSMGO.... It would be heavenly. But of course JTAE doesn't have a good "curtain drop" moment... and I doubt they'll get rid of the curtain drop. I'd be thrilled if the curtain drop were removed altogether. It's not as original as some think. "O" does the same thing, but in a much grander and more original way. Plus, the curtain gets put back in that show in a very clever way, too. I honestly feel, even after the recent changes, "Celine" still has yet to find its "voice". (No, I'm not referring to its singer.) The show still feels to me like an uneven mishmash of random covers and some of her own material. I really wish they would have stuck with the Hollywood films soundtrack concept. At least the show would have HAD a clear concept. Plus, there would have been a darn good chance we would have finally seen Celine perform "Then You Look At Me" live. Plus, "I'm Alive" would have fit well due to "Stuart Little 2." "Beauty And The Beast," "Because You Loved Me," "When I Fall In Love" and "My Heart Will Go On" all would have fit for obvious reasons. Plus, "Unfinished Songs" would have been able to be incorporated effortlessly as well once it was released. Just imagine the show opening with "Then You Look At Me" and closing with "My Heart Will Go On." A beautiful Hollywood movies show with James Horner/Will Jennings bookends. God, if only! 3 Quote

God, if only!why do people need a concept, the imporant thing is what people feel during the show. When you watch a David Lynch movie, you are not looking for a concept, there is none. you just accept the emotions it makes you feel. 1 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....
SuperLove4Celine Posted May 17, 2016 at 06:03 PM Posted May 17, 2016 at 06:03 PM (edited) why do people need a concept, the imporant thing is what people feel during the show. When you watch a David Lynch movie, you are not looking for a concept, there is none. you just accept the emotions it makes you feel. Different strokes for different folks. A concept, no matter how big or small, helps me feel connected to a show I'm attending. The concept can be very exact, such as the Hollywood films soundtrack one mentioned above, or an "anti-tour". However, it can also be a simple retrospective of an artist's career, a promotional concert for a new album (meaning incorporating more than just one song from the new album), etc. Since you mentioned Lynch, I will counter with a mention of Hitchcock. He coined a term used in the movie industry known as a "MacGuffin". A "MacGuffin" is the thing which helps move the film along. Without it, the film would fall apart. The "MacGuffin" can be a physical item, or it can also be something of a non-physical nature, too. This is what I strongly feel has been lacking from Celine's shows for quite some time. And the new French single will be performed if not tonight, later this week. Annie is in town too obviously for Sunday night, but I wonder if we will see any new costumes or any new songs or visuals added to this run, which would make perfect timing really...
