To be honest, I really wouldn't care about the people in front row. They get Celine for the entire show. Some of us can't afford to be that close to Celine so to have an opportunity like this is exciting! Great move Team Celine!

 

Lol well we'll disagree on that then. It's not just about seeing Celine, it's about being able to see full stop. And at 4'11 I know all about it 😂

Not saying they shouldn't do it. But think if they should lower the price of front section tickets of the seats that are impaired when this happens. Don't think people would moan then. After all, this is a theatre not a stadium. Not everyone who get these seats can easily afford to buy them. They save up for ages to be able to buy the best possible.

It's a great,bold move but it just needs tweaking 😀

I bet your right. Celine works harder then anyone out there that's for sure and if people don't believe that, then they could just go see her Vegas show and see how well she's performing and carrying on like a trooper right after the loss of her husband.

 

I don't think anyone else would return to the stage so soon after a loss like this, let alone share everything Celine has shared throughout this sad time and through her career in general. Class act!

 

Does anyone know the answer though? I am just really curious from a fans point of view. That would be cool trivia to know. Has Celine performed more then any other singer in her field? I bet Rene would have known this answer. LOL.

 

It might be difficult to track this actually. There are pages about highest grossing tours but not who has perform the most.

 

For highest you would guess between all the US/UK acts. But how to trace all countries performers.

 

Saying that, between international stars, Celine is definitely one of those having performed the most.

Based on wikipedia respective pages, Madonna would be around 650. U2 1350. Elton John 2400. Rolling Stones more than 1000.

When she reaches 1000 shows in Vegas she will have performed more than 1750 times globally taking into account TC tour and the 90s.

So not too bad and the most for international female artist :-)

I feel no emotion with "Incredible" maybe Celine feels the song but it doesn't transcend to the audience IMO. To me the prerecorded "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" has more emotion and she isn't even singing it live lol.

 

Incredible is such a bore. Never got that song. Lyrically, melodically...it's always been a total snoozefest to me. That's my 'bathroom break' song.

 

I would quite like to see At Seventeen make a comeback in its place. One of the best English-language songs she's recorded IMHO.

 

That, or something else off of LMBTL. Water and a Flame? Breakaway? Didn't Know Love? All solid songs and much more interesting than Incredible.

That's prove that would be cool if the next DVD for the Vegas show they include the different songs performed like the James bond setlist. Because I guess that in 10 years time few will remember

 

HYEBIL was definitely not in the Vegas show from opening night. I was there 3 weeks into the run of the show and it was not there. They added it to the show whenever it was released as a single, and I don't believe it was even in the show for a year. Much shorter than that but I can't recall exactly.

Secondly I have the opening night bootleg and it's on it.

Thirdly, you can go by her hair. Not blonde - like towards the end of the year etc.

Fourthly, the song was released in April 2003.

Songs get dropped on occasion for a night sometimes. For instance, when I was there in 2006 IIC was dropped. But it was still a regular part of the show.

Yeah, unscripted Celine is the best kind.

She needs to tear up the script and burn it. No need.

She may have needed it once, when she was 17, or just learning English. But she can certainly handle herself now without pre-prepared remarks. She's best when she speaks off the cuff and from the heart. And it resonates.

So proud of Celine for returning so soon.

 

She sounds and looks fabulous.

 

I'm sure the show will keep evolving -- especially after this stretch of performances. For now, it's all about her heart healing. The show is fabulous enough for the general public. I think Celine is selling the opening number more and more each night.

 

It's fantastic to see her receive so much love and support from fans. And she's now been getting a lot of respect from folks who have lost touch or never gave her credit in the first place.

 

I wish her lots of strength. We should all be proud!

Thank you for the info. That is very interesting. It's incredible how so much of those performances come from her Vegas show. Almost 1000 shows in Vegas alone.
