Thanks for the explanation. I don't mind the way she sings certain songs but it's just the difference between let's say MHWGO from August 27th to now. (Specifically starting at the " your here there's nothing I fear" onwards) You can hear it. She's struggling a bit and as I said last night it's just worrying. I just don't want it to be permanent. I don't think I could do Celine with so much rasp im so used to her flawlessly belting these notes

Sometimes I hear her voice trying to reach the high note and she just starts to get raspy and she seems to be at the end of her rope and if she pushed any further her voice is just gonna break and her vocal chords cut off. And I'm like, Celine why are you putting yourself through this. It can't be good for her on any level. She's stressed and emotional. Try singing when you are crying, even a simple song and see how hard it is, let alone a high demanding song that demands correct breathing patterns and difficult high notes. What she's doing is gonna hurt her in the long run. She's only doing this because its what Rene wants not her. She went back on stage when Rene was ailing at home to please him. Now that he's gone she's keeping this up just to please him, but he's dead. Celine you need to stop.

Caesars will understand and so will the fans.

I don't know that I'd say Incredible is being done without emotion, although I wouldn't mind if it went. Barnev on that song just does not work. And I have noticed the difficulty she seems to have in hitting that high note in MHWGO, just thought it was due to emotion.

Is anyone going to tonight?

I feel no emotion with "Incredible" maybe Celine feels the song but it doesn't transcend to the audience IMO. To me the prerecorded "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" has more emotion and she isn't even singing it live lol.

I too wish she had taken more time off. As long as she finished the contract at some point I can't see why Caesars would mind. She IS the reason residency's are now the in thing. And the fans well let's not even go there of course THEY would understand. They love Celine and I know they'd support her in any decision. Certainly I would. I guess people deal with things in different ways. Maybe Rene thought this would be the best way for Celine to heal. I'm not sure if this is but if this thing with her voice continues I won't be happy. I don't want her to push herself too hard. I only want what's best for her obviously

celine legacy will be huge in terms of performance. She might end up being the female artist having performed the most in history. The mighty 1000 performances in LV will be in the guiness book for sure. And globally with the Rolling Stones she is the artist having performed the most. That's something! :-)

For the discography her French one is tremendous and I bet it will go on like this. In Quebec she is the Queen and in France we do not have such ageism radiowise. For the English speaking market and the USA more specifically that's another story. But I believe that if she focus her promotion more in the UK next time it could be good. The tide seems to have changed there and somehow I believe she can get a multi platinum album there again.

I am obsessed with her performance of one more look at you and watch me closely. I thought the grit and the raspiness in her voice just added more colors and oomph to her performance. It's perfect for me. Very heartfelt. I just hope it does not do serious damage to her voice in the long run. My ears are confused now lol been listening to videos from all 3 nights so far and now my ears can't tell the difference(vocally) between performances. Meanwhile there is a show going on right now. Still nothing useful up just pictures of people going inside the Colosseum.

I bet your right. Celine works harder then anyone out there that's for sure and if people don't believe that, then they could just go see her Vegas show and see how well she's performing and carrying on like a trooper right after the loss of her husband.

I don't think anyone else would return to the stage so soon after a loss like this, let alone share everything Celine has shared throughout this sad time and through her career in general. Class act! :wub:

Does anyone know the answer though? I am just really curious from a fans point of view. That would be cool trivia to know. Has Celine performed more then any other singer in her field? I bet Rene would have known this answer. LOL.

At the end of the show now, as she walks off stage, the screen comes back down and they show that photo of Celine and Rene hugging that Rene loved and that was on the program for his funeral and celebration of life.

HYEBIL also did great, stayed for many months in Top 5 (#2 being the peak position, I think it set a record there). But then even AC charts supported her less.

Yet it stayed 14 weeks at #2 in the AC chart. Her last true hit in this chart. One of the most played AC song in 2003. Funnily she never included it in the AND show back then.

If so, that's great. And nice to see from one of those Instagram pics above that people are coming up to the front and dancing. The one consistent critique I've read about these shows is that everyone just sits there... so it's nice to see people getting up and involved. And much as I find this selfie-taking thing silly, it's clear Celine enjoys it and loves interacting with people that way. She's such an extreme extrovert & seems to really feed off of this sort of thing.

To be honest, I really wouldn't care about the people in front row. They get Celine for the entire show. Some of us can't afford to be that close to Celine so to have an opportunity like this is exciting! Great move Team Celine!
