The show was amazing last night! I approve of the one less costume change, not a shorter show, means more audience interaction. Her beginning speech was almost ten minutes and she was as genuinely happy at the show as she was on Tour this Summer. The entire audience was on fire standing up for the entirety of Kiss, Purple Rain, LCMM, RDMH and The Show Must Go On. I am surprised not more photos and videos have shown up because there were certainly plenty taking them. She took someone's phone during RDMH and did a singing video selfie so would love to see that footage show up!

Yes, and I'm not that impressed sorry. That "anymore" sounds more like a scream a woman with a very high pitch voice could produce if someone steps on her foot at home rather than a real belting note in a song she's singing in the recording studio

 

I have no idea about vocal chords, the use of them, head voice and all that stuff, but I know she's not forcing her voice like she does on the original studio recording of the song when she hits the high notes That ending sounds more as if she's using her "whistle" voice other than belting with the all strength and power of her vocal chords, stomach etc.

 

Don't get me wrong, that ending is amazing and the general public that is not used to the marvels she can do with her voice is probably amazed, but we've seen dozens of this "whistling" high notes in other past performances of RDMH, LCMM and Purple Rain, and they don't sound like the belting she does on a recording studio, but a tired whistle that she is just able to take until very high pitches.

 

We are die hard fans here and we know when she's belting for real and when she's just flexing her pitch to disguise a high note that she's not belting because she's either tired, bored, or simply her vocal chords are not up to 100% that night

 

I still stand for my opinion that All By Myself needs a rest

For me she was very cleaver, if she had done the note the usual way it was so much like taking chances dvd, not good, so she went higher and it became different and she did not fail and it was beautiful for the audience.

Not just all by myself, but some songs deserve a rest now after 20+ years lol

She's not top shape vocally but she's not nasal like 2004/2005, so thats good at least

Also she deserves a good rest after a nonstop summer!
