Céline's Return to Colosseum Live Stream - February 23, 2016

I found on YouTube that someone created a fake "live" performance of Then You Look at Me, and it just goes to show it would be amazing live. The orchestra is just amazing and it would be amazing live!

 

To the untrained Celine ear, this could actually pass as a fan recorded live performance. The way they did the mix, her voice sounds a bit raw in some sections (I know it's the studio recording).

I'm waiting for the day when she comes back from a break and the curtain opens in Vegas and she is wearing something like what she wore on the summer tour, and this song starts, and she totally surprises us with a show mixed with hits and rarities.... and she says "I hope you like my outfit, because I'm not changing."

Me too! That's part of the attitude I want!

The "there's nothing I fear" the "Nothing" scares me a bit and I hope she is ok.

 

 

i think she's ok, i mean, no infections or so.. but with the vocals really tired needing a break and vocal exercises, celine is wise, she prob knows that! but i think she wont cancel anything to not disappoint the fans coz (supposing its not a heath problem)

for me she just need a long break, she worked like never before ( in those vegas years) and let's remember she had problems like that in the past.. not exactly the same but 2004 till 2005 her voice was not that top shape, at the beginning of taking chances tour her voice was incredible! and we got that dvd nasal and we can notice at the end of all by myself how her voice was.. she could reach the heights though..

in feb of this year her voice was so fragile and at the tour so strong again!

so i really believe with rest and exercise she can get the power back soon, again, she is wise and prob know whats going on so i think she will find a way to manage that

Listen to her sing "...the heart does..." at 0:38. Did anyone else notice how young and clear she sounds? Like a split second of perfection. I probably sound crazy, but it stood out to me and I was just wondering if anyone else caught it.

i think her problems now are just with high notes, she does sounds good !

Unbelievably! It's incredible how beautiful this song is and how we all love it so much! This performance would be a dream come true. Can anybody send this to her or to Scott or somebody else from her team?

During the tour, or the spring run in Vegas, I remember someone ran into Scott and mentioned the song, and he said they'd not thought of it but he'd remember that we all wanted the song! It really would be a dream come true if I saw it live. They really should do that orchestral intro before the song. I was listening to it today envisioning it today and I got chills!

her voice became so nasal 2004-2005, at some point just so different.. you can notice at the recording of dancing with my father

*she had so many playback tracks at that time btw, that helped not to tired her voice, but i remember some inflation and sickness at the time..

they said that she had to cancel i guess 3 or 4 weeks coz of sickness during all access on a new day... dvd and they sent her the card " a nude day.."

Shoot me, but I don't think that head voice note was all that bad. It was interesting to say the least. Her voice is a little rough, but she's been doing a lot of singing and press lately, and she's back in the dry desert air. She'll be fine, her voice goes through good and less good periods. If she sounded like this for years then yeah we can worry, but the beginning of her summer tour was incredible for her, vocally. No reason to think there's any real damage just yet.

She's hardworking, she's always been a hardworking girl, so she just needs time, folks. She'll be fine. Somewhere in 2004-2005 I was worried about her voice, it sounded somewhat not good to me. But since than many wonderful perfomances have happened that proved me wrong. She'll be fine. I believe in that

She was clearly not at her best. Not only the MHWGO but "show must go on" was so raw too...

 

Anyway I love the way she sang "forEEEEver"... more subtle, less power. ..she really knew she couldn't make it after the struggling "there's nothing I fear"

Besides, have you all noticed how well this song blends with MHWGO? Both compositions from genious James Horner look alike a lot. Then You Look At Me melody could easily follow before or after a MHWGO performance

Ahh yeah i remember that in the DVD. She really needs to rest. She needs to rest her instrument.
