Well Céline said she would change the show if they renewed it. I always got the feeling she meant if they decided to renew it till 2019 she would change it. I feel like next year once they get the English album and the mini tour done is when they'll change it from the ground up.

FINALLY someone posted a couple of videos from last night. I've never seen Instagram so dead after Celine Dion's show actually. Managed to compile the last part of MHWGO. That's heartbreaking to hear her go flat She also seems to have a problem with her monitor. Actually I've noticed that recently she takes her earpiece off when she fails to hit the note the way it's supposed to sound. Probably, she's paying attention to the audience reaction or something.

I agree. It's not like she lost it forever. Just a couple of months of full vocal rest and she'll be back in shape

Totally agree. I would take a fully live show with imperfections over a mostly lipped show like the 2011 version of the "Céline".

And her voice during the french tour was GOLDEN. She just need a break and her voice is gonna be fine again.

You see, it's her coming back to Vegas and problems with her voice start to arise . I don't like to be the Debbie Downer here, but there's clearly something that gets her every time she goes back and resumes her performances there. I don't know if its nervousness, anxiety or the boring audience and their lifeless reactions that also affects her enthusiasm. Or all combined

 

One thing is clear: the recent summer tour set the bar very high.

 

Still, I'm sure many singers would like to sing everyday like Céline Dion does on a bad day

 

Ahh yeah i remember that in the DVD. She really needs to rest. She needs to rest her instrument.

Exactly what I said. But I was told that Aldo has said she'll be recording for the english album during her break. Apparently. Sadly. I just want her to have a bit of a break.

I don't understand that, the album is just for next year! Probably the summer.. I think the most responsible thing was to give her a full break and after the other vegas leg start to record, she can pick the songs now and record after..

Regarding "'The Hits' Problem," I can only speak from my point-of-view.

 

The problem isn't so much Celine singing the same songs over and over. We all know songs such as "My Heart Will Go On," "The Power Of Love," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," "Because You Loved Me," "All By Myself" and "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" are "required" for the casual fans. There is no denying that at all. What has bothered me about some of these songs is how they have been butchered to heck in recent years. Entire verses have been removed, or in some cases, entire halves of songs have been removed in order for them to be made into medleys. Since the aforementioned songs really and truly do need to be performed, I would like to see them performed in all their glory. I would like to see "the forgotten section" of "The Power Of Love" brought to the stage. That alone could make hearing this beautiful ballad fresh and new again for me.

 

Now that I have covered that part, the question then becomes, "What to do with the remaining portion of the show?" The answer is very simple. Turn "A New Day Has Come," "I'm Alive" and "That's The Way It Is" back into full versions of the stage. Make "A New Day Has Come" the "Radio Remix" the casual fan knows. Bring back other #1s such as "Nothing Broken But My Heart," "Pour que tu m'aimes encore," "To Love You More," "I'm Your Angel" and "Misled." In regards to "Misled," if the old phrase, "dissed," is too cringe-worthy for today's society, simply remove it. Celine could just insert a "grunt" of sorts to imply another word. That would leave it up to the observer to insert whichever word they want in that section. This could range from "screwed" to "f---ed over," etc.

 

So, after all of that said, where does that leave us?

3. "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" **either full album or radio edit version**
   
4. "All By Myself" **either full album or radio edit version**
   
5. "Because You Loved Me"

9. "A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)"
   
10. "That's The Way It Is"
    
11. "Nothing Broken But My Heart" **either full album or radio edit version**

13. "To Love You More" **either full album or radio edit**
    
14. "Pour que tu m'aimes encore"
    

Now, add in three quick interludes either with or without visual effects on screen. These interludes would be accompanied by instrumentals to lesser known, but still recognizable songs of Celine's to the casual fans. These could include: "Have You Ever Been In Love," "I Drove All Night," "Love Can Move Mountains," etc. This would leave room for about 3-4 more songs. These are sections where Celine could add in a cover that is "not hers," another French song, a section to promote a new album, or add a completely obscure track only hardcore fans know about. These sections could also be used as dedications to loved ones (i.e. Rene), current events (i.e. Olympic years by performing "The Power Of The Dream") and anniversaries of whatever kind (i.e. "God Bless America" for 9/11, or a song from an album which is hitting a milestone anniversary release date). "This Time" could be brought in solely during the month of October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in this section, too. Anyway, I'm sure you all get the point.

 

If it were to stay, the acoustic section has so much more promise. There really should be a selection of songs for Celine and the band to choose from every night to help make the show always new. The acoustic moment is when lesser-known songs should shine. I could easily hear "Eyes On Me" seguing into "You And I" seguing into "One Heart." Then, the curtain rises while everyone is getting out of the way toward the end of "One Heart." The band starts to do a "cool down" and then BAM!, a massive dance moment in the show begins.

 

So, for those of us who seem to be complaining about "the hits," I don't believe it's because the same songs get performed all-the-dang-time. I believe it comes from a place of knowing things have become complacent. Those of us know Celine, her show and everyone involved are capable of so much more in Vegas.

 

And, yes, for the love of God...

 

PLEASE MAKE "THEN YOU LOOK AT ME" (IN FULL) A SHOW OPENER AT SOME POINT BEFORE I DIE!

If Céline herself if sick to perform those hits and they are in shortened versions, imagine how sick she would be if she has to perform them in their full studio versions

 

Superlove4Celine, as much as I would love to see what you want, it just won't happen sorry The machine is bored to death of singing those songs. That's why I say that she should just do what she did with the French summer tour: sing a couple or three of the biggest French hits and redo the rest of the whole show with NEW/never performed before songs People will forgive her as long as they see a couple, three or at most four of the biggest hits performed, namely MHWGO, IACBTMN, BYLM and TPOL.

Please stop doing all by myself if you don't even bother singing that song! Right now it is playback and it is like Celine is some circus attraction doing that big note with all her gestures. It becomes a gimmick. Been there done that. Gone with that song now! Put it far in a cellar and lock it!

she needs to take a rest from her residency shows -- then after no talk for 2-3 weeks. She should focus on the English album for better result or we will hear again an auto tune voice. But of course it will disappoint the people who just bought tickets for the show.
