I hope she is able to return to the stage at that time. I know it will be very tough, but I believe she will for Rene, because he wanted nothing more than for her to sing. And what a blessing that he was able to see her return. But man, there will not be a dry eye in the room that night. No more pain for Rene, finally at peace. So so extremely sad for Celine, she still said a while back, that when it hits her, it is going to hit her hard. My dear Celine, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. May God Bless you and the family, and be with you through this difficult time. It's hard to believe that they mention she will be back on the 23rd February, if it does happen, she will be doing it for Rene. He wanted her to come back in August last year, he wants her to carry on singing, and we all have to be there for her big time. Rene was such a great man, and the Celine and Rene love story was beautiful to watch -- that genuine respect and affection, the gentleness, the class, the generosity, the way they were so responsive to each other, the way each little touch communicated such love. Une chance qu'on s'a -- Thank goodness they had each other. So sad today. Rene was, as JJG said, more artist than businessman. He had the capacity to be as mesmerized by Celine after 35 years as he was on the first day. They went to the very top of career success together, but through it all, he cared most for the woman she was and for her happiness. In January they met (January 1981) and in January they were parted. But not really parted, because Rene will be part of Celine forever. And his children live on. Sending so much love to Celine and all the family. 10:10 of the below. So heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. 4 Quote
