I really hope that she will cancel two remaining shows, I'm afraid, I'm really afraid that she might not.

 

 

I hope she does. She could quit doing the shows for all I care. She needs however long it takes for her to grieve. And help her children through this.

While we all knew this day would arrive soon, I find myself deeply saddened by the news and my prayers and thoughts go out to Celine and the family. May they find strength in each other during this time. He has done great things and will be forever remembered and dearly missed.

Well 'hymne a l'amour' words certainly have more meaning now, in fact I know if I watch her perform that video again I will cry, how she got through singing that.

 

I'm so heartbroken for Celine, I was so hoping he was getting better 😢

 

I hope Celine takes time out, one of the hardest most raw things I've ever watched is when she performed the day her dad died 😢

This is the news I've been dreading since 2000. I hope she takes her time grieving and be there for the kids. I also am afraid she might do the same routine as she did when Adhémar died. This must be so hard for her. I cannot fathom what she goes through now and I hope she doesn't lose the faith and strength in her music.

I don't know when I will be able to listen to her music again, now all I can thank about is Rene. I really hope she takes time away to grieve and be with her family, Vegas can wait.

What a heartbreaking and sobering week. My heart is with my friend Celine Dion and the loss of her beloved husband. This week has seen the devestation of cancer as it's taken away icons, husbands, and fathers. To everyone battling this disease, the brave men and women out there, and all families and friends affected, please stay strong. My heart goes out to everyone waging this war. Let's all keep raising awareness and keep fighting this terrible disease.

Oh no, I'm so sad to hear this. Even though it isn't unexpected, it hit me harder than I thought it would considering how long Celine has been in our lives. I can't even imagine how she feels, but my heart is with her and the kids. We owe Rene a lot, for bringing Celine to us.

Celine earlier today announced the death of her husband Rene Angelil after a long fight with cancer. The couple had celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary last month

Celine will return to The Colosseum on February 23 to resume performances.

 

All of us at AEG and at Caesars Palace have Celine and her children in our thoughts and prayers.
