A new day... Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:31 PM Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:31 PM I feel devastated. I knew this day would come but it's always a huge shock to read the actual phrase. René died this morning. René is gone. Sending all my wishes to the whole family. Celine lost the love of her life, and we lost the one that started it all. Merci René. 1 Quote

SuperLove4Celine Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:33 PM Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:33 PM Tonight will be the first night she goes to bed without her love, her husband, her muse. I cannot begin to imagine the thoughts, sounds and images which will go through her head and heart as she attempts to go to sleep. 5 Quote

APAD Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:42 PM Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:42 PM Incredibly saddened by the news. Rest in Peace, Rene. I'm flying to the US for a holiday tomorrow, and one of the things I was looking forward to was seeing Celine on the 17th. The show has been cancelled, so while there are other things to look forward to on my trip, it sadly won't be as good without being able to see Celine. Hopefully another day Quote

Del Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:54 PM Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:54 PM It must have been much worse than was led on. I always felt it was worse than what they lead on. this is very big here, every radio and tele station are talking about it non stop.....very sad.... My local news don't often cover the death of people in the music or film industry unless they are of a specific status. Tonight there was piece on Rene and today's sad new. 2 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

browseceline Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:57 PM Posted January 14, 2016 at 11:57 PM Frankly, I think it could well explain every off-key or weak vocal performance we have seen over the last two months. It is certainly out of character for her. Despite putting on a brave face every night on stage and being funny with the audience, her singing voice showed signs of stress that could not be hidden. It all suddenly comes together. Hope he did die in Celine's arms. What a sad news..Wishing Celine and her three sons all the strength they need and Celine should do what she wants to do now. Hope she takes all the time she needs to overcome the loss of her husband. I hope it's not true, how Aldo expressed that. It's rather tasteless saying "they were glad God took him". I pretty sure they wanted him to stay. It's clear what's been ment with that (ending his pain) - but Aldo, as Celine's official representative, should have choosen his words more careful ... CelineDionFreak Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:07 AM Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:07 AM All I can tell myself to keep myself from getting emotional is that he's in a better place. Vole... We will all miss him but he will go down in history as one of the greats. It was a shock to me, but we all knew it was coming. I wish Celine and her family peace. What's even more sad is his birthday was 2 days away. Popular Post remykyes Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:14 AM Popular Post Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:14 AM It started back in 1997. Titanic was preparing to take over the world, and I was in 4th grade. Mom said I absolutely was not seeing the movie. She said "ask dad to take you to the library and do some research on it." So I did. I watched documentaries, A Night To Remember, read books...eventually found the Titanic soundtrack. Got to track 14...My Heart Will Go On. I died. The voice...angelic. I fell in love with the singer that was Celine Dion. Come to find out, I actually fell in love with her in 1992 when I heard Beauty and the Beast. Fast forward to 1999...Celine cancels a show in Columbus in April when she finds out Rene has cancer. I read up on their love story. This is when I fall in love with the woman that is Celine Dion. My love affair with Celine and Rene has been going on for 24 years now. It's absolutely heartbreaking to say the least. I know it sounds silly that someone you've never met could have this kind of impact on you. But what he gave the world. He's given me a voice through Celine's music...a way to grieve, a way to celebrate. A way to know that even when life hands you a serious blow, that love will always be there to lift you back up. I'll never be able to repay him. Rest in Peace, dear Rene. Je t'aime. 8 Quote New Signature Coming Soon!

It's not tasteless at all, and if someone you know is really suffering, as it's obvious Rene had been, the selfless thing to do is let them go and be released from their pain. Cancer and terminal illness are very rough for both the victims and their families, and unless you have walked in their shoes, you have no place to judge. 4 Quote

Rossum89 Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:25 AM Posted January 15, 2016 at 12:25 AM Such heartbreaking news. Celine's February 23 performance will be now be more emotional than her return in August. I hope she is able to return to the stage at that time. I know it will be very tough, but I believe she will for Rene, because he wanted nothing more than for her to sing. And what a blessing that he was able to see her return. But man, there will not be a dry eye in the room that night. Just the thought that that will be her first concert in almost thirty years that he has not been by her side, it makes me want to cry. Je t'alme Celine. 1 Quote http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3003/newconcertdvddesign3.jpgCredit goes to Timster for the great pic!
