Because that ain't gonna happen; Celine already has earned her status. Adele is on her way to become a great singer too. But time will tell. And Celine does not need to do that either. She has a very extensive repertoire with lots of songs to blow anyone away, Yet, Celine did cover Adele song and there is nothing wrong with that. A lot of Celine fans want to hear big hits with quality coming from an artist like Adele performed by Celine. There is nothing wrong with that. Didn't quite like it much at the beginning. She keeps on breaking records though. A third week with more than 1million albums sold And come on, we didn't need the Time cover to know how popular Celine was. FIY and LTAL are two of the best-selling albums ever. I don't think anyone else has two albums ranked so high in the sales record.

Celine had a different start, background, vocals. Adele writes songs, she is singing in a different realty compared to late 80s. Adele is big now as it is her time as she stands out with vocals and great songs among the current crowd. In fact, Someone Like You makes me cringe every time. As some of you said, the lack of competition is one of the reasons for her success. I love the song and that my favoritesinger Céline sings it is quite amazing, what if she could record all of her awesome covers she did through the years! I saw in another thread that they discussed whether she should sing cover songs on her show or not, it does not make me anything if she puts in a few covers, but I had easily been happier if I was at Ceasars Palace and she sang something from lets say "Lets talk about love" or "Celine Dion".
