So what parts did she sing live?

 

The first verse was hologram, then real Celine sings right before applause start...the long note was real celine, second verse was real celine,

The ending "i-mor-tal-ity [oh baby, but she didn't sing that line, was real celine], "there is a vision and a fire in me" (can't remember but the "awe" after it was for sure hologram celine)

I've been a member of this forum for a few years now but never post as I prefer to read everyone elses thoughts but I just have to commend Celine for how courageous she was last night to command that stage the way she did. From the snippets I've seen and the comments I've read, she appeared to be on top form and put on a cracker of a show. You really have to admire her being able to come out and give her all like that when there was so much emotion involved, especially with the fact that Rene couldn't be there in person as it was evident from the announcement in March that was the goal they were probably both working towards.

 

I have to say I was worried for her as the return was getting nearer that she maybe felt pressured into coming back too soon because the plans were under way and she wouldn't want to let everyone down but she really proved last night that she has indeed "got this"!! When you consider the fact that personally they are going through so much and that she had to come out there with new musicians, instead of those she has been familiar with and gelled with personally and professionally for all those years, I feel she has even had to change up so many of her songs that she's performed thousands of times to suit the new musical direction and that coupled with the emotion of the occasion, you wouldn't have blamed her for perhaps not performing 100% but she gave it everything. She's one brave lady and that's why we love her.

 

I'm so proud to be a Celine fan right now, her music has helped me through some tough times in my life and I certainly will be looking to her as a role model even more now than ever.

So my Dad isn't much of a Celine fan, but I forced him to go to the show in 2011 and he loved it... told him about Purple Rain and Kiss and he was shocked. Asked if everyone put their lighters up for Purple Rain like in the movie or something and I said no....we should though on Saturday anyone going again! lol it would be neat. Gosh I've listened to it like 10 times, that and Immortality and MHWGO, and TSMGO has really grown on me.

Re-listening to the acoustic medley over and over again. It's just amazing!

I'm on MHWGO now, thinking I may restart the bootleg lol... this is what happens when I come to Vegas by myself. Don't wanna leave the hotel room now that I can listen to this lol

I think the arrangement for "The show must go on" was AMAZINGLY done! It made the song way, way more enjoyable then when she performed it on the TCWT. I was pleasantly surprised by it, I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to it but it was stellar!

Haven't had time to listen to the full bootleg yet. Thanks Tyler! I must say that now that I have seen HD pics of the outfits I love them! Last night I was not sure... Especially the first silver dress and the white glittery pant/ dress thingy and the yellow also looks nice up close.

 

Last night when I heard over the rainbow I cried my eyes out but I had this strange happy,sad and peaceful feeling all at once. I really felt her emotions and singing this for Rene. Just beautiful. For me this was reminiscent of the first time I heard Fly. That was the first time Celine made me cry back in 1996. This performance will be iconic for me.

i'm listening to it again, and the pianist has a very soft touch...more sensual in Mr Paganini helping Celine to be the same, great song Edited by québecflower

I wonder what the other two were. I'd think Au Coeur Du Stade was one . .and maybe Sur Les Plaines . . .

I don't think ACDS even comes in Top 8.

I'd say SLP 2008 and 2013 (or a French show in general 2013), and the other would be last night.

 

Other possibilities include Dix Ans Deja (I doubt they even remember it to include it in Top 3 lol) or Live a Olympia 1994.

I don't know. In her 2000 biography, Celine said about ACDS: "I think I had the most beautiful show of my career there." And I read an article once where Celine said that Rene would always critique her shows, saying "It was great, but . . . " and give her something to improve -- and, after ACDS, there was no "but" -- he thought it was perfect.

She does!!! I can't understand much, because of the nature of the song and her accent. With 3 years of French under my belt, I can understand songs like JSP, JNVOP, PAMP, and CQMTA. Very Un-accented French and very easy to understand -not with this song! Lol

Does anyone know if we have clearer audio of Quand Ça Balance or a video- even if it's short? I want to show my French teacher. :)

 

Oh and any video of Mr. Paganini? The only full video of her last run was blurry and zoomed way in. I always have wanted to see a clear, full video of that song!

 

And am I the only one still in shock over the setlist? I feel like I'm in a dream, cause her setlists have never been this good! And her outfits were amazing! It's just an amazing show... I think the band change was for the better. We got a fresh opinion,,, and it helped!!!

Wow! I just finished listening to Tyler's bootleg and that is all I have to say: wow! :) Amazing!

 

In all these years I have never seen Celine live in concert anywhere, so I always have such a fun time when I get to see videos and things, but I just LOVED THIS!! :)

All I know is I'd be heartbroken if they cut Mr. Paganini from the show. This should rightfully be a Celine staple. I can't wait for Sony to finally release that studio version with Herbie and Christian and Terri Lyne.

Mr. Paganini is such a jewel in the show! It took a while to grow on me... But I love it now! I'm glad it stayed! :)

Wow immortality and all the way so so good! I'm in love with her even more. They both sound better than the recordings. Such a clear tone. Please someone try to get video of first time ever I saw your face at the next show if you can. I want to see the video being played.
