I wish I could listen to the full bootleg. New here in the forum but forever fan of Celine Dion. I think she sounded amazing on the opening night and the reason why I'm here now in the forum because I believe this show is not only for Rene but for all of us. She's giving back and she is aware of celine dion forum I believe so guys. Just look at the changes. I like to emphasizehow she gave it her 100% that night and that I love that the nasality is just right, the richness and tone of her voice is perfect. I would love to hear more softness from her like her french songs. Anyway, never felt any prouder as a Celine fan that night. Bootleg please. ANyone??? :cry:

Does anyone know how strict they are with recording videos on smart phones during the show? I would assume not too strict as lots of videos from the show have been posted on YouTube.

I have finally had the chance to listen to the bootleg a good soul decided to share. I think it's the best show ever in the whole carreer. I repeat each show I see or listen to. But this one was unique. I can't believe how can this woman achieve it all despite all the struggling moments she's going through, what an amazing woman she is! I am proud to be her devouted fan, I am proud to be in love with her.

 

The show was totally different, I felt everybody's emotion running through the whole show. And the songs were all amazingly re-arranged and at the end of the show I told myself that all changes are all welcomed if what we'll see in the future are shows like this one. Amazing!!

Can't stop listening to the bootleg <3 MHWGO actually brought tears to my eyes, even though I've never been a fan of that song. I guess it was in Helsinki when it last affected me so much, the only time I've ever seen Celine. But hearing it live and somehow sensing that it was sung for Rene...

 

Purple rain is amazing, and so is Kiss, I can hear her flirting!

 

I wish I had the money to go to see her.

 

Or at least get the chance to buy a DVD of this show

Ive been in tears the last couple days. No voice touches or moves me as much as Celine's. I have loved her since i was little. Thank you to everyone for sharing the videos and pics. Truly grateful and it was amazing to see. I am hoping i can get to Vegas to see Celine perform again. Seeing all the videos etc has made me even more desperate to get there! Its also so exciting to hear about the upcoming French and Englsih alnums in next couple years. It is extremely hard to see Celine so emotional. She breaks my heart but i know their family is strong and they will pull through this. They are in my prayers every night. Celine is back and so incredible!!! wow is all i have to say! I loved over the rainbow and Immortality! MHWGO also out of this world!!!!!

Thank you so much for the bootleg. I am listening and already in the incredible part. Oh wait, all parts are incredible!!! God this is celine just like 2002!!! I love her. Hands down the best among the rest. Sealed. Shut. No Question about. and she Delivered her best that night. This woman is the greatest. This woman like we all know and why we love her gave us yet another reason why we love her, she never cease to amaze all of us!!! DVD must be on it's way to production, if not it would be the greatest mistake her camp would have made, period. It's the best, not one of the best. It's what we would expect from her today, how she would sound like and everything. Mature, Funny, Powerful, Versatile etc... name it. Now I have a reason to say that CELINE is arguably the greatest artist the world has ever known and might never get to have one forever, and by far certainly the most successful, the most hardworking, the most talented, the most charming and crowd drawer. In the new show she did so many improv because she knows that what her fans and the world wants to hear from her. She is the BEST. PERIOD.

Ok, I have now listened to the whole show twice. Here is my verdict:

 

- I Drove All Night: Really tired of this being part of the show, would much prefer an instrumental intro that leads into the opening song.

 

- I Surrender: Very strange choice for opening song, doesn't really flow after IDAN. Yes it makes a very bold statement and shows her vocal power right from the get go, but I feel it's quite dark as an opening number. However the vocals were fantastic.

 

- Where Does My Heart Beat Now: Glad to see this song kept in the show, shame it's not the full version but the video montage is absolutely fantastic.

 

- Because You Loved Me: Very well performed, although I wish they would shake up the opening sequence and put this song later in the show. It could go anywhere really.

 

- It's All Coming Back To Me Now / The Power Of Love: Great medley, nice to have a slightly different arrangement.

 

- Jazz interlude: Fantastic, flows well into next song

 

- Mr Paganini: Glad they kept this cover as it gives Celine vocal freedom.

 

- Quand ca balance: Very unusual choice but it actually makes this whole 'jazz/brass' section worthwile. Before we had Paganini / Lullaby / The Reason which was a disaster. It's nice to have some continuity this time round.

 

- The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face: Great to see her doing an 'album cover' rather than a random cover for her 'baby segement'. Interesting to see her performing the shortened version like the LTAL Tour & TAST special, although this time she repeated certain lines?

 

- Beauty And The Beast: Nice song and well-performed by Celine, but would like to see maybe another early hit done at this point.

 

- Barnev solo: Nice to see it's not spinning wheel, but I don't understand why they can't do something else for the interludes. Why can't Celine record a fun video for the screen while the band play an instrumental to one of her songs like Shania does in her shows?

 

- Immortality: Fantastic, just beautiful. I presume the Bee Gees video was the one that was used during the LTAL tour? It's great to hear this song again.

 

- All The Way: Perfect, Celine always sings this song perfectly.

 

- If I Can Dream: Brilliant. After having lipped to the studio recording on American Idol, I was worried that this would be playback, but actually it sounded pretty live to me.

 

- Acoustic Medley: Finally! Celine has been needing an intimate segment like this in her shows for years. I hope she continues to do this in all future shows, obviously changing the songs to keep it fresh and allow us to hear her songs in a different style. Great to hear ANDHC & TTWII again.

 

- Incredible: Needs to be cut immediately. It never worked live and probably never will. It's a song that doesn't really go anywhere. I would much rather hear LMBTL, WAAF, Thankful or Didn't Know Love.

 

- Unison: Great addition, nice to have an interlude featuring all 3 backing singers.

 

- Love Can Move Mountains: I feel this needs to be integrated better with Unison as a mashup. We know from AND that these two songs can work well together with the band and backing singers, I would much rather have a mash-up and then see Celine joining everyone at the end of LCMM like she did in the Millennium Concert.

 

- River Deep Mountain High: Although it's nice to see LCMM/RDMH moved up away from the end of the show, this song has had it's day and should have been put to rest at the end of the TCWT.

 

- All By Myself: Nice to hear a new arrangement and a new high note (in the style of the album version, no less). But after the uptempo songs it does not really fit in here.

 

- The Show Must Go On: Absolutely fantastic, although I feel this should be the last song before MHWGO, or even the opening number.

 

- Uptown Funk: Brilliant, finally something modern.

 

- Kiss / Purple Rain: I enjoyed kiss, but wasn't a huge fan of Purple Rain. I felt this was all too much, certainly as a last song before the encores.

 

- My Heart Will Go On: Great to have a live performance after 8 years, but I have to say compared to her 90s/2002 performances this lacked a lot of power, particularly in the second chorus. I hope she continues to sing it live because eventually she will get used to singing it again and it will become much easier for her.

 

- Somewhere Over The Rainbow: Nice to have a song after MHWGO, and it was beautifully sung, but I wish we could have had TCOML with the piano instead.

 

 

 

Overall, it was a fantastic show and a huge improvement on what we had before. Obviously it's impossible to cater to everyone's wishes, but I do think there are still a few tweaks that need to be made regarding song order just to improve the flow.

Now that we finally got the acoustic set and everyone seemed to like it, I hope they experiment doing this with other songs. For example I'd love to hear BYLM or TPOL with just piano to make those fresh again or really any song at this point. Just my thoughts.

I've been listening to the bootleg from Tyler and it's just absolutely beautiful. I'm completely amazed at the quality. The first five songs have been sung throughout Céline's entire career, but it seems that the actual words were meant for this very moment. I'm in complete awe at her strength to be able to perform this way. What an amazing performer!

Everyone...lets keep the idea of pressing for a release of this opening show on audio and dvd..this would be the perfect show to release officially...it was perfect in many ways...even Celine's team said this was one of her best all time performances...so it makes sense to release it for many, many reasons. This is exactly why I posted about how I was upset at people complaining about the setlist... People are treating last night as just some other concert... Like Celine said, this is not just a new show. How do people just ignore the fact that this show was for Rene?

 

I think most people did appreciate that this was a show for Rene - and that's why it was so emotional and beautiful. I don't know if you were able to read the first 47 pages of this thread -- but there were only a couple of people complaining about the setlist at the end. Most of the posts are about how amazing and beautiful and emotional this show was (and most people loved the song choice -- I think half the posts on this thread are people freaking out being super-excited that she's singing a particular song). I loved how many songs were clearly for Rene, and how she chose such positive, life-affirming songs, rather than sad songs.

I am soo grateful that I had the means to be able to go and see this show live on Thursday, because it was such a magical experience. Thank you so much to Tyler for getting a bootleg up so quickly - I can't wait to listen and relive this experience!

 

I don't think there is really much more to add to what everyone else has already said - Celine was on fire - I loved how willing she was to play with her voice even on the old standards and I thought the setlist was a very pleasant surprise.

 

I am SO in awe of this woman and so incredibly proud to be a fan!
