I love that Céline does "Quand ça balance" after "Mr. Paganini" because she clearly is having fun with it and it plays off the whole "scat singing" that "Mr. Paganini" has in it. It would be really cool though if, before the full orchestra comes back after "QÇB," she did a different early French song acoustic every night... written by Eddy Marnay. It could be a short 2 minute edited version with just piano, but how great would it be if she said: "We always do a French song, it's easy when you have a song like 'Quand ça balance' written by Michel Legrand, and Eddy Marnay.... every night, I like to go back and remember an old song that I sang very early in my career... And if I forget the lyrics, I hope you will help me." And then it could be... "Tonight, I would like to go back to my very first album and sing for you a bit of my very first song 'Ce n'etait qu'un reve,' written by my mother...""Tonight, I would like to sing a special song that I had the honor of singing for the Pope, many years ago. A beautiful song about peace. called 'Une colombe.'""Tonight, I would like to sing a song that I dedicate to my mom, and all of the moms in the audience tonight. It's called 'Tellement j'ai d'amour pour toi'... 'All of the love I have for you.' I hope you like it." I think this could be a really sweet segment... leading into "The First Time" and giving Céline some freedom every night. She could easily rehearse something like this during soundcheck if it's a short version of the song... She could even pick 5 songs and then just rotate them so she felt comfortable. I love the idea of changing out various old Eddie Marnay songs, that's just brilliant and I would sooooooo love it. But I want to see older songs, like even C'est Pour Toi or some earlier 80's and early 90's songs. But you are all on the right track, I am loving this. Good thinking, people. What do you all think the chances are that a hologram duet with Rosie is (or was) in the works for the holiday season? If one was, I wonder if it would happen now with all of the controversy going on with her and her estranged daughter. As it is, though, there are no holograms in the show anymore. So, maybe I'm just grasping at anything to help make sense of that title having appeared on her stuff in her store. (The same for "If Only You Could See Me Now.) 1

It's the easiest segment of the show to swap songs in and out! Songs like "Falling Into You," "You And I," "One Heart," "Loved Me Back To Life," "Taking Chances," "Let's Talk About Love" and "Unison" could all be rotated alongside the already existing "A New Day Has Come," "That's The Way It Is" and "I'm Alive."
