I'd rather celine to do something like you're suggesting outside of North America tbh. Think they've had her long enough.

I think we are going to be getting updated or more advanced holograms to be honest, it's kinda like the waterfall, it took almost two months of working the kinks out to finally get that going and I admit it makes My Heart Will Go On really elegant. I wish Incredible would kindly leave the set list to be honest, Barnev get's his one song and that's all I can handle honestly. To me he sounded the best when he did I'm Your Angel on the TC tour. Could be cool if they offered the audience to decide on the song they perform after the medley, I know Carrie Underwood did it on one of her tours, they chose four or five songs and audience members voted, would keep it interesting.

I just came back frome the show, it was amazing! The Audience was very good and Celine was on fire!

I know that the show is selling and I hope it's a sold out show till the end of her career,but I gotta be honest the show for me like the whole thing is getting really boring,compared to artists now adays ,it looks cheap ,nothing interesting happens ,how celine comes to the stage and goes out ,I mean I thought when celine comes back after one year things are going to be totally different ,but I tried to go with the flow but I can't fool myself any more I don't find anything interesting about that show ,a new day was really entertaining ,I don't want people to hate me but that's just my openion

I understand what you're saying but people don't go to her show and expect theatrics, pyro, lighting, dancers (yes, AND was an exception for her) ect, ect.... people (well me, I don't want to speak for everybody) go to see one of the best voices left, and for me it's her presence also. They know they will get a very classy show. Honestly if you look at all her concerts this fits the mold, her mold precisely. No distractions from focusing on her voice. Just my opinion of course.

For me, AND, it was wonderful but way too busy, dancers all over the place, things floating through the air, I never fully understood the role of "the narrator" (the guy in white)

I completely agree. AND was perfect, but I'm glad it stopped when it did. It was time to give it a rest, if that makes sense. It'd gone on enough. But I did love the show. I loved the theme. The guy in white's name was Elijah. I could see it being busy. I remember her going, in some interview, "in this one song, this guy is coming through the air on the piano, and not playing it..." I was like... Celine, okay then.lol but I did LOVE what they did with the MHWGO intro with the girl floating with the dress. Just classy! and yes. Revamped is AMAZING. "Age talking".... Ok, Sherri.

And you are absolutely allowed your opinion so don't worry.

 

I do understand what you're saying as that's the way I felt about the show from 2011-2014 which, in my opinion, had far too many covers and frankly covers that weren't that interesting either. I also felt she returned to Vegas far too quickly after "A New Day..." which I had seen 4 times and, like you say, was a world class show. I also think seeing her in Paris in November 2013 helped me get my Celine "fix" lol.

 

However when it was announced she was returning this year and that the show would be at least 40% different I was immediately interested. Rightly or wrongly I was also intrigued by the change of musical director and band members too. Of course when you add in the hugely emotional circumstances around her return I knew I had to get to Las Vegas to see this new show. And now, having seen it twice, I can absolutely assure you that the show is very "interesting" when you are there. I don't know about anyone else but all I need is Celine singing and this show, more than any other in her career, is about simply that. Celine just comes in, sings her stuff and then leaves with the crowd wanting more.

 

There are no dancers, no acrobatics, no special effects in every single song. But what there is is a world class singer sounding the best she's ever sounded with passion, honesty and emotion like never before.

 

That, for me anyway, is enough.

Exactly. I heard people say when I came out of the AND show "all I want is to hear her sing", and that's how I feel. Yes have a bit going on but not ott.

If some think the latest show is boring etc I dread to think what they think about LIM etc 😂

I'd definitely agree that the revamped Celine is a better balance - less unnecessary covers, and just lets Celine shine. That's all anyone wants to see (well, me anyway).

 

The only change I'd really like to see, the same as others have commented, would be the removal of Incredible (I also think that B&TB is enough for Barnev to feature), and I'd lose the Elvis video and replace with a backing vocals interlude while Celine changes outfits - I don't think anyone's really going to the show to watch a video of Celine singing. I'd love to see A World To Believe in added to the setlist, it seems to really fit the circumstances of Celine finding strength in Rene and her boys. And maybe I'd adjust Quand Ca Balance for one of Celine's better known francophone tracks.

 

Otherwise, this show is a masterpiece.

I loved Open Arms as an introduction to the show, but if we're going for something intense like I Surrender, wouldn't TSMGO work at that point as well? I'd then maybe move I Surrender to later in the show. Just a thought

Yeah I think TSMGO would definitely work as the opening song. But part of me is glad it's near the end as her vocals have had time to warm up. Not sure it would sound quite as amazing at the beginning night after night.

I liked it better when it wasn't the final song before the encore tho. It's a bit anticlimactic to sing "The Show Must Go On," getting the audience all amped up (many of whom were probably not expecting her to sing that song) and then ending the show. I think it fit perfectly before the Prince medley... Another unexpected segment.

I liked the happy medium of the TC tour, had the dancers, and lights and effects but wasn't dealing with people flying or large props going around every where. And it wasn't until this revamp that I truly fell in love with her having the orchestra, I personally like I Surrender as the opener and really there isn't a song of hers that is better to open a show with.

I truly didn't think I would like Open Arms when the set list first dropped for the show, but I loved it. I mean we can't really say anything since she's opened the TC tour and Falling Into You tour with covers. lol I think the Bond Theme Medley would have been neat to open the show with but it needed better Bond songs cough cough if you asked me to cough cough.
