Labrèche doesn’t say when he met Céline in Vegas. His wife died in 2005. He did many parodies of her during the following decades, the latest was a few weeks ago I think (« Céline Galidion »). We don’t know if she still appreciates him. But as this video shows, he really does respect her. I must say I’m always a little torn between laughter and something a bit painful when he mocks her supposed lack of knowledge. I find it harsh. But Quebec humor is often much more direct than in France.

2017... can't remember the month...

probably before the last trimester of that year because the hair was shorter in december

Hey! I don’t know if you saw my reply in the previous pages but I was so curious after that demo was posted who the producer was and I’m almost certain it’s Lamont Dozier of the legendary Holland Dozier Holland writing producer team who produced hits like Heatwave for The Supremes. 
 

On Discogs the recording studio this was recorded at only lists Debbie Gibson and I think one other person. At the same time, he produced and wrote some songs for Debbie’s Anything is Possible album in the early 90s

im excited to hear how this sounds

Céline, the pelicans & seagulls and a mic on the jetty, with high waves around but no wave sounds :laughing: - another weird video setting, once made for Top of the pops in February 1995, straight from Miami Beach.

this was just a rehearsal for the A New Day Has Come music video 🤭

 

there's another video from the 80s where she's in a pool park, and she walks away by the pool side, and the camera angle is just like the ending of the ANDHC music video 😅

Yes!! Also an underrated gem of a song from the pre-Sony days!

Now I just need to find that video of Céline diving and swimming in the water during the Olympics, and it’ll be all complete lol

EDIT:  here it is! It was gone for the longest time but I never bothered to check if it was reuploaded haha

Well, this is the video she made during her honeymoon when she was not supposed to travel or even to do any performance. I remember she talks about it in her autobiography !

No, this isn't correct. This was the performance which interrupted their honeymoon right after their wedding on Jan. 19th. It's mentioned in the first authorized biography of Georges-Hébert Gemain (of 1998), page 365 ff. They flew to London for that. 
The "pelican/seagull"-video was broadcast in TOTP from Feb. 9th - by that time they already were "on business" again since the end of January (with rehearsals and performance at the Grammy awards).

it's Pour Vous... from the album C'est Pour Toi...

you should check all her early albums from the 80s... it's filled with amazing songs many don't know about...

I'm not sure about the belt and the pants (I only have a very bad quality video of Letterman). And she did wear this adorable rosary necklace. But the denim shirt and the white shirt are the same, yeah.

 this is the best quality of the performance...

I think the white shirt and the belt are different... the shirt seems to have a more loose neck...

And hard to say reg. the white shirt. The rim looks similar. Maybe she pulled it more down for Letterman? But the denim is definitively the same. 
Pants and belts are not the same.

I listen to the 80s albums more than any other period of her career and love them all so much!

For those that might not know it, here's a link to the full audio of a date of her very first tour (July 30, 1983). I really love it because it's so very human and tender. You can hear how nervous she is and it's just so endearing and touching.
