Ultra rare footage of Céline filming one of her Chrysler commercials in 1988. I imagine she had previously recorded the vocal track and here they were filming her to use some clips in the commercial.

Are those tears glittering in her eyes during "Mon rêve de toujours"? Gosh!  That was the time her feelings changed for René ...
How I LOOOOVE this song and her interpretation since the first day I've heard it in 1989 in the radio - still I had to wait three years until a CD of it was available in Austria and finally I could listen to it around the clock! Over the decades it's been packed full of dearest personal memories! 
Such a great discovery! Really moves me! Thank you so much, dearest Céline!!!

Any insight into these songs? After listening to that Chrysler song, I saw the poster tagged another person where they got the video from.. This is another goodie that i'd love to learn more about... From what I can gather, It might have been a demo presented by one of the members of the funk band Slave, since the song sheets and the box of Masters have Slave on them and the "Dozier" producer thats listed could be Tom Dozier from the band. No idea who the Hill person could be...

Heres a rare 1984 interview of Céline where she talks about singing for the Pope, talks about "Melanie"  in front of one of the writers, Diane Juster, and then sings it for her niece Karine and her family in the audience. Finally she closes the show with "Mon rêve de toujours."

"Slave" is a term used in recording studios.  You can see in the image that the left tape says "Master" and the right tape says "Slave" - the master is used to synchronize timing with the slave when making a copy so that they're perfectly aligned.

I dug a little deeper and found out the recording studio, Innersanctum Sound System was closely related to Lamont Dozier, one part of the iconic songwriting team, Dozier-Holland-Dozier, since he recorded an album of his there as well as Debbie Gibson's "Anything is Possible" album there. Based on Discogs, most of what was recorded there was from 1987-1991, so unless it started operating under another variation of the name, This must've been a lost track for Unison!

In any case, this would've been an iconic track to listen to, especially from a legendary songwriter/producer.  Basically one half of The Supreme's big hits like "Stop in the name of love" "Baby Love" and "You Keep Me Hangin' On"

It might be Dan Hill. The writer of “Seduces Me” who also wrote some of Celine’s early material like “Wishful Thinking” and “Can’t Live With You Can’t Live Without You”.

The idea is to recommend, from a fan’s perspective, that people who are less familiar with Celine discover sides of her they wouldn’t believe exist in her music. Celine Dion is not just ballads and the Titanic song - it’s time people realize and discover the magic that many of us have known for years.

This playlist doesn’t include the big hits that everyone already knows - and that’s exactly the point.

I was digging through my files from the 2024 Olympics and wondered if people here saw this, from Céline's secret 3am rehearsal with Thomas Jolly and Victor LeMasne. It was aired in a TV documentary on French TV "Dans les coulisses des répétitions de Céline Dion avant la cérémonie d'ouverture"

This a incredible 😍😍 totally new !!  I share you opinion about Céline préviously recording the song since we know now that what we though it was original recording sessions ( 1983 Chemins de la maison recording) were in fact acted

Well, technically the original source (and copyright owner) is "Antenne 2", producer of "Le grand échiquier" in 1984. Did that forum member you mention own the copyright?

And: Sorry, if I didn't check if it was posted before. I should have (and I will before posting something in the future)! The only thing I can guarantee you: I didn't and wouldn't share it outside of this forum! And I didn't know the circumstances you mentioned. But I do know how shitty it feels if own discoveries are shared without mentioning those who found it first. This is how the "CelinishCloset" was once nearly destroyed and the reason the major finders (me incl.) withdrew from it - as one member from up here stole our partly very laborious findings and posted then as if he had found them - even handed a book with all of it to Céline, declaring it was his works!

Personnaly I think it is one of the best interview she gave alongside with Denise Bombardier 2008 interview. Real smart questions that allowed Céline to answer and show she is a clever girl !! All other interviews are just about stiring the wind.

Yep, iconic it is !

I think many people knew by then in the media. At least that she was in love with him. All those that worked with them say it was obvious since she was 16 or 17. I think Lise Payette tried to help her in her ways. Lise Payette was twice a Minister in QC, including for the status of women, and she also wrote Je cherche l’ombre for Céline :

I have to say she seemed to be a super nice lady. Very polite and warm.
