I agree, I think Celine's pretendng to play the guitar in Ten Days is worse though. Or maybe not worse, it just makes me cringe. I almost can't watch it, it's so silly.

Yes, we had them already. We also had Milwaukee (posted above) and Columbus as bootleg videos. There are MANY audios though, as well as some professional footage from Montréal and other shows.

I wonder why they weren’t all on YouTube then..? I remember seeing videos from these concerts back in the early 00’s, but never really bothered to track them down.

 

It’s nice to see anything “new”, since she’s been hiding for the past 1.5 years, and after listening to the new Diane Warren song, I’m beginning to think the best is *not* yet to come - it is unfortunately behind us. Vocally, she’s getting up there and her beautiful tone might be gone forever. I really hope not —she had some great vocals in 2017-18, and maybe there’s a chance this break has done some good. However, her precise technique is really missing these days.

It has to do with the channel, not the specific videos. Probably the channels suspended for copyright issues so everything dissapeared.

I remember seeing them all on YouTube within the past few years. Also, watch the recent videos of her singing beautifully that I

posted in the Superwoman thread (SSDA, OTR and Smile). She still has her beautiful tone and precision so all’s not lost. She just needs to get her s*it together, which she hopefully has over the break. A new manager and vocal coach could help with that.

This is the issue. I don't think she has ever had a true vocal decline with her instrument. She takes amazing care of herself. But it always depends on technique and style.

 

 

The problem is getting in with a vocal coach or producers who will correct some habits. And with a megastar, it can be quite intimidating to do that.

I think it's possible that vocally she will still slay us. Donna Summer is a good example of a woman who kept her voice in pristine shape. When she performed "Last Dance" and other songs with David Foster in 2011, she was in her early 60s...62 or 63 I think....and she sounded incredible.

 

I think it's a matter of technique, care, and rest. Getting out of a desert probably also helps the vocal chords.
