This is a nice grip! Love that she, just like us, is amazed that the album is actually (and finally) out. 😁

This is so funny and cute lol Céline talking to Alexa

Wouldn't count Eurovision as promo for Madonna. It could had been but she screwed it up first by making it all a mess wheter she'd actually be there or not, being a diva about the contract. Then when she showed up... well there was another mess.

Most likely. But if we look at Madonna who has the biggest album drop from week 1 to week 2 (#1 to #77 and then out of Billboard 200 in its third week), she did a lot of promo including the Billboard Music Awards with Maluma and Eurovision.

The main issue for veterans is the lack of streaming points unfortunately, no matter how much promo they do. And if we look at the estimates so far, Celine has very little streaming so she will most likely drop down the chart fairly quickly. So keep streaming folks!

Peace and love to all.

Even if M messed up her performance, she got a lot of press out of it so anyone slightly interested in Madonna would have known about her new album.

Celine hasn't done any big show to promote her album. Hopefully they plan on doing more promo later to keep it afloat.

One of her best albums but also one of her WORST for week promotions of any album. They never should’ve rescheduled the Montreal shows for this particular week, and instead it should’ve been two weeks of Promo.

Westlife's 'Spectrum' Takes Massive Lead on Midweek U.K. Albums Chart

11/20/2019 by Lars Brandle

Westlife are enjoying a new chart life in the U.K., where the veteran boy band is on track for a first No. 1 for more than a decade.

The Irish act’s eleventh studio LP Spectrum (EMI) rules the Official U.K. Albums Charts Update with a gargantuan lead over its rivals. According to the OCC, the album is outselling the rest of the top 10 combined and had shifted 50,000-plus chart units by the midweek stage.

All of Westlife’s albums have impacted the U.K. top 5, with seven going to the top.

Meanwhile, Celine Dion’s Courage (Columbia) enters the midweek survey at No. 2 and is set to be her highest-charting release since A New Day Has Come crowned the weekly chart back in April 2002.

Tones And I Makes Chart History Down Under With 'Dance Monkey'

Another popular ‘90s boy band is flying high at the halfway point as Take That’s new live album Odyssey: Greatest Hits Live (Eagle) opens at No. 3, while new releases from the Kidz Bop Kids (Kidz Bop 2020 at No. 5 via Kidzbop), Chris Kamara (Here’s to Christmas at No. 8 via So What), The Police (Every Move You Make – Studio Recordings via Polydor/UMC at No. 9) and Collabro (Love Like This at No. 10 via BMG) crack the top 10.

Also, David Bowie’s classic 1969 album Space Oddity (Parlophone) re-enters the midweek chart at No. 33 following the release of a 2019 mix by the Thin White Duke’s long-time producer Tony Visconti.

Think of all the appearances she cancelled :-(

I haven’t seen any promo outside of NYC yet, I would like to believe Celine would ride the LA circuit but I’m not so sure with the tour resuming.

So many shows to do still:

Jimmy Kimmel

James Corden

The Talk

And she even skipped some of the NYC shows too.

After a week of trials, here’s my final “remix” of the album tracklist:

01) Flying on My Own

02) The Hard Way

03) Lovers Never Die

04) Heart of Glass

05) For the Lover That I Lost

06) Change My Mind

07) Say Yes

08) Courage

09) Imperfections

10) The Chase

11) Nobody’s Watching

12) Baby

13) Boundaries

14) I Will Be Stronger

15) How Did You Get Here

16) Look at Us Now

17) Best of All

18) Perfect Goodbye

****BONUS****

19) Lying Down

20) Falling in Love Again

21) Soul

I really loved the soulful flow of the last few tracks, and didn’t want to change that. However, the peppy FOMO followed immediately by the angry LND was really getting on my nerves, so I brought some of the stellar songs from the Deluxe version to the beginning to help bookend that swing in emotions and show some more diviersity in Céline’s range. As the tracks progress, we get into the nitty-gritty, and then more superficial again, to reinforce the grieving narrative. The closing act is pretty much untouched. If you’re open to trying this list out, I’d love to hear your feedback / what order you’ve come up with for your own listening pleasure!

I dont think that Celines album will drop as fast as Madonnas. Madges album wasnt nearly as anticipated as Celines, thats first off. Second, Madonna didnt have any reason to gain sympathy points from the public. Dont get me wrong, I am absolutely not saying this is what Celine is looking for. But, people like drama, and tragedy is the most interesting drama to most people. Sad, but true. Celine has the public on her side so hard right now, and people are dying to see her succeed and be happy. A number 1 in the US, I believe will be the greatest publicity for Celine than any TV appearance. Shes also already touring for the album, which will make people buy the album (all it takes is one song for people to hear and enjoy). Its already being hailed as one of, if not the smartest pop record of 2019. I think this album has a good life ahead of it!

I agree that Courage shouldn't drop as quickly as Madame X. And I hope you are right about Courage having a long life ahead. And fingers crossed that she does a bit a promo throughout the tour to make sure of that.

I also believe it will not fall during the 2 week, I think SOny is planning a bigger publicity in the second week and the beginning of December so that the album does not fall.

I finally received my ticket master email yesterday for my cd shipping. Good riddance.

Also, if the fact Céline says the word s*** keeps you up at night, I’d be more than happy to trade life problems with you.

they could have included that on the album instead of letting her sing s***. It's kind of inappropriate and also immature IMO, especially when you're 51 and you're known for being a class act and a role model all your career.

The "class act" and "role model" showed her interviewer the middle finger :D

Of course it was a joke. And the "s" word in Perfect Goodbye is just a word used by the author. It's not like she's saying "f... you X, you're a piece of s..."

I desperately hope there’s a blast of promotion while she’s off. She needs to shout and sing about this album. We need live performances! We need Lying Down video ASAP... Edited by stevo

I've been fiddling with the track list for the last week, too, but I'm having a tough time coming up my "perfect" version. I do have an order that I've mostly settled on, but I still think it could still use some tweaking until it's just right for me. This might sound weird, but the fact that there are so many songs is actually making it kind of tricky to come up with my ideal "listening experience" for this album. I'm also toying with the idea of treating it as a double album with each half chosen either based on the style of the songs, or separated thematically, so I can listen based on my mood.

I think I'll listen in your order a few times and see how I like it. Thanks for sharing!

This is the last day for week 1. So let's do a little extra streaming to close the week - mainly those who sinned listening to the leaked album. Deal? :P

They were the standard with 16 songs, I had to buy the deluxe version. I got two on Monday and the third on Tuesday sent using the US Post Office.
