I bet some songs will be in tribute to him. How many songs did stephan moccio write for this new album do we know

 

 

I have a feeling this will be a powerful song, if it is in fact called “Baby”. I just get vibes of a cry from her heart of wishing René was still here. It would be great!

While searching for Greg Kurstin I found a youtube song called Baby. He is listed as the composer.

 

Could it be that?

 

 

I love The Bird and the Bee, (Greg Kurstin's band) so that would be cool, but this song was written by Kurstin and his bandmate Inara George (who has some great songs in her own right, too!). So, it's probably a different song that just happens to have the same title.

So much information, I believe that next week we will have a new single, I hope she has recorded a video clip too.

On this mpusica "baby", if that's the song that put the link is totally different, I liked it, but let's wait.

I wonder if she's going to release a surprise album next week.

Definitely not. The songs for this entire album were written by Kurstin and Inara George.

I expect she'll do some NYC promo in early May. A late night show or two, one of the morning shows, hit up the Met Gala... (I mean, the theme was made for her! LOL)

never thought about a spontaneous release of the new album next week, but it sounds very possible. And after Vegas a re-release with bonus tracks and extra material! That would be a dream come true :D (now I'm getting carried away hahahah) :D Edited by ryba

All very exciting!!! “Baby” was not what I was expecting but who knows.... it could be a whirlwind of a song!

 

So if it’s like past albums... baby could be the title of the new album? Let’s hope not!

This is just a registration with the Australian PRO. Every song that has been registered for publishing splits by Australian songwriters will be there.

Doesn't mean it's ever going to be released (much less as first single).

If you knew the writers to look for, you could find the same kind of registrations for other sons she recorded with all the other PROs - ASCAP, BMI, SOCAN, etc

Lord knows, she recorded many songs that never saw the light of day.

Maybe we'll hear this, maybe we won't.

That's not my point...

 

Point is that this is just a publishing copyright registration. May or may not get released. So I wouldn't pin all my hopes on it!

There are many songs we've never heard that list Celine as the performer between ASCAP, BMI, and APRA (and probably other publishers, too). Yes, it's exciting to hear about Celine recording Sia songs, but let's not put the cart before the horse. Not trying to be a wet blanket, but maybe we should calibrate our expectations...

If it’s album related the LA connection is due to music press availability I would suppose.

Yeah she announced it on her FB page... you only need to use the facebook app although im pretty sure if youre just on her FB page when shes live it will let you stream it
