Having someone who idolizes Celine to work with her is always great.

I hope we'll get something really special. An exquisite album!

I love the idea of Celine revisiting her Eddy Marnay songs — either as an English release or as a French release as an adult woman.

 

This is one of MANY albums Celine could be releasing these days.

 

I think easy big-sellers for Celine would be:

 

A new Holiday album with a couple duets. One of the duets could be the first single to generate buzzzz.

 

A jazz album

 

A duets album

 

A “Celine sings the classics” album

 

A Collectirs Series Volume II album full of rare or unreleased songs

 

I'd love a Celine sings the classics album. But it needs great production. Look at At Seventeen, At Last, Nature Boy (both versions) - all superb covers of classics. But we also know that it can take a totally different direction: How Do You Keep The Music Playing and Ne Me Quittes Pas. I was really looking forward to get studio versions of these wonderfully performed live songs, but after seeing the results I wish she hadn't recorded them at all... such horrible production.

If she had to do a covers album for another tribute, I’d love her to do an Eddy Marnay album revisiting her own old songs with her mature voice. It would be a nice album to listen to, there are so many gems under the Eddy Marnay years and most of them are still unknown to the general public

The postponement of the English album seems quite logical now after the official announcement of the end of Las Vegas residency. The lack of informations concerning the album is probably due to the uncertainty about the contract with Vegas, the exact date of the last show and everything that goes with it. They obviously didn't want to haste with the news while nothing is yet certain. And I guess it is not a coincidence that we finally got some news about the recording of the album just few days before the official announcement of the end of Vegas.

And all this makes me excited. I think the best solution is to dedicate whole 2019 to the new album, its promotion and a another possible tour. And I have a feeling this is going to be big.

We know for sure the album will launch at some point in 2019 with the Vegas show now officially ending.

 

I think they will bundle the album with the launch of a new North American tour, (each ticket would include a copy of her new album), which leads to think the album will not be released until at least March when tickets would go on sale for a North American tour.

 

This strategy works amazingly well and she would sell a TON of new albums. Easily #1 because I guarantee you if she toured America she'd easily sell well north of 100K in tickets. Maybe 200K

I cant imagine why people think that its been 2 years, in 2016 she said about the English album for hype and to save face. She didnt even begin to record until 2017, and tbh the pics with Eg White and Linda Perru look kinda like they were just discussing possibilities. Even the 2017 recording pic of her in the jumpsuit she was recording the Leonard Cohen snippet
