celinesounds Posted January 26, 2018 at 06:48 AM Author Posted January 26, 2018 at 06:48 AM I think Sony actually promoted it pretty strongly to radio in the US -- it was just that they focused on A/C radio first, before trying Top 40 radio. On the day after Labor Day 2013, they had LBMTL played every hour on a ton of A/C stations. That must have been a really expensive promotion, but it didn't do anything. On the A/C charts or anywhere else -- Americans just weren't interested in that song. That happens sometimes. Javito Posted January 26, 2018 at 04:52 PM Posted January 26, 2018 at 04:52 PM I’m sick of Chamomile Havana song. Sick of it. We all know trendy doesn’t mean quality. Nobody will remember this song in a couple of years, while everyone remembers timeless classics like those of our queen. But she’s very young, it’s a good start for Chamomile and she also pays tribute to her roots. 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

The total sales of the song did not even reach more than 50,000 copies worldwide. LMBTL is her biggest flop single. Edited January 26, 2018 at 05:17 PM by dj_a_rock 1 Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted January 26, 2018 at 05:25 PM Posted January 26, 2018 at 05:25 PM (edited) And some people on here think I make too big a deal about audio videos. LOL Streaming is the way of the present and future, unfortunately. So, with that said, Celine's team really should get it together and start uploading tons of them onto YouTube. Start with the songs that are important to Celine (e.g. "All The Way" (with Frank Sinatra), "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," "Ce n'etait qu'un reve," "Right Next To The Right One," "A Song For You," "The Colour Of My Love," etc.). After that, start getting audio videos up for the singles that don't have music videos (e.g. "Alone," "Faith," "Stand By Your Side," "In Some Small Way," "Have A Heart," etc.) , or for the ones that do with distracting noise not found in the album version (e.g. "I'm Your Angel," "Taking Chances," "Where Does My Heart Beat Now," "Falling Into You," etc.). Once those are done, start going after songs found in her past and current tours/shows (e.g. "Fade Away," "Love Is All We Need," "Refuse To Dance," "The Reason," "Nature Boy," "What A Wonderful World," "I Surrender," "Seduces Me," etc.). And of course, get the rest of the videos currently blocked in major markets (e.g. Canada, U.S.A., France, Australia, Japan, U.K., Germany, etc.) UNblocked (e.g. her French material, the audio videos for "My Heart Will Go On" and "O Holy Night," etc.), as well as getting the rest of her music videos uploaded (e.g. "Live (For The One I Love)," "Water From The Moon," "Did You Give Enough Love," etc.). It would also be great to see her team start uploading various performances to her YouTube channel, too. Take a look at what Cher and her team are doing. They have been uploading TONS of performance footage as of late. Just recently, they uploaded Cher's performance of "Save Up All Your Tears" from her appearance on Letterman's old show, as well as "I Hope You Find It" from "Vivement Dimanche." If Cher's team can get it together and figure out how to do it, Celine's team most assuredly could as well. </end rant...for now, until next time> Edited January 26, 2018 at 05:26 PM by SuperLove4Celine 3 Quote

Xpresso Posted January 26, 2018 at 06:37 PM Posted January 26, 2018 at 06:37 PM (edited) But what's even more important for Céline is selling albums. She's always been an album seller over singles. The album LMBTL wasn't that big in Céline terms but it did fairly well (internationally) compared to other artists that year. Popular Post CSCfan Posted January 27, 2018 at 12:03 PM Popular Post Posted January 27, 2018 at 12:03 PM (edited) Céline about the new album in a new interview..... It’s going to be ready when it’s ready In between performing and preparing for her upcoming tour' date=' Dion is quietly working on her next musical project, an English-language album that she says “is exciting, and a little bit different”.[/i'] “Musically, the best is yet to come,” she said. “I’m not going to say, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, this is the new me’. We’re not doing that. But we are exploring new sounds, new producers and writers and lyricists.” Asked when the record might be finished, Dion reverts to a thread that has run through the conversation. In mourning the loss of her husband, she talked about how she also found her own voice and learned to stand up for herself. She is better at drawing boundaries, and is more selective than ever about how she spends her time, and with whom. “Saying ‘yes’ all the time is not the right thing to do,” she said. “Saying ‘no’, in a positive way, might be. You have to choose your people. You have to be aware of the vibrations around you. Some people mean well, some don’t, and not everybody loves you. I’m trying to meditate, to find my own strength, to open a space in the inner centre of my body. And when I do that I feel like everything good is happening.” But will her new album be finished? “It’s going to be ready when it’s ready,” she laughs. “Before, it had to be done by yesterday. But now, I’m like, ‘sorry, bye, I’m going to go meditate’. I’m just human after all.” Edited January 27, 2018 at 12:07 PM by CSCfan 12 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Dancing_Queen Posted January 27, 2018 at 05:41 PM Posted January 27, 2018 at 05:41 PM Céline about the new album in a new interview..... Thanks for posting this.Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this part stuck out for me: "You have to choose your people. You have to be aware of the vibrations around you. Some people mean well, some don’t, and not everybody loves you." This also echoes something she told Pepe (according to Gala, who interviewed him recently: (http://www.gala.fr/l...-demande_411841))Roughly translated : "From the moment we have crossed this hall, expect that at least one person will not like what you do. Learn to live with this inevitability and everything will be fine." I thought Céline never really gave much thought to people disliking her before. But maybe she was sheltered from it by René.Seeing as she's now the one running the show ('C'est moi, le boss'), she's (sadly) confronted with it much more. Maybe the whole Donald Trump-situation also plays a role.(Creepy) Steve Wynn was allegedly the one who tried to convince her to perform for the presidential inauguration. She may have made some powerful enemies in Vegas by saying no (even if she had a valid excuse)...Those fake Macedonian videos about her disliking America were clearly orchestrated by someone with a vendetta. I really don't think she was randomly targetted... 6 Quote

He likes Céline and Adele so who knows. I feel like it's only a matter of time until he does some kind of collab with Celine. I mean, during the filming of that movie, he walked around with a boombox playing MHWGO (and let's not forget he took Kit & Jessica to see Celine in Montreal) https://www.wmagazin...tflix-interview"I really loved working with Xavier. I think because he was an actor, he is so cognizant of the tone that’s created on set. He’s always walking around with a boom box playing music, and he’s so involved in the scenes it almost feels like he’s in them. So it was really cool. What were the main boom box tracks? You won’t even believe it, but he loves Titanic, and he loves with Celine Dion, so during a lot of the scenes, he’s playing “My Heart Will Go On.” " Edited January 27, 2018 at 05:43 PM by scielle 5 Quote

I really don't think she was randomly targetted... Interesting theory. And yes, she was definitely sheltered a lot by Rene. But, she also has an extraordinary EQ. Denise Bombardier pointed out in her Celine bio that Celine is better at reading people than any politician she ever interviewed (and she interviewed some of the most powerful politicians in the world.) I've always gotten the sense that Celine is far more attuned to people and much smarter than she gets credit for. And I think for a long time people took her for a push-over. There was this assumption that Rene was a puppet master and she'd just go out there on stage and do as told. But actually, I think she was always very independent and assertive - it's just that she trusted Rene and valued his opinion and business-savvy. But now that she's running the show, people are starting to recognize she's actually a very strong, independent woman. 15 Quote
