The song is flop because it is bad, so I see Céline does not receive any more songs, well, it seems that the songs she has been receiving are remnants that other artists can not record.

She needs good music, talented people and good producers.

Exactly. And that requires time. And patience. And some effort from her team.

LMBTL didn't chart in major markets because Sony wasn't promoting it through radio...at all. They said themselves that they were not going to push the song. Solely relying on TV promo. The success it had in the U.K. was a pleasant surprise, because people actually wanted to hear the song. They demanded it. Would a video have helped? Sure...but Sony probably wouldn't have promoted that release either. If people don't know about things, they're not going to pay attention. The lack of video was not the sole reason for LMBTL's lack of impact. It was Sony's lack of using promotional tools to make something out of it. Everything is residual of that.

But this time the world wants a new song from her.

So IF they make an awesome fashionista over the top videoclip, it will be picked up by all the major outlets, and let social media do the rest.

But if they decide to follow the steps they always did with her last english albums, my guess it will go nowhere again.

The new album should be called Fashionista... or Célinista... :-D

I’d be quite happy if it was simply called “Celine” or she did an Adele and called it “50”

Still hoping she does an English version of “a Vous” on the album as a bonus track :)

You're so right!

I see now why Water from the moon, Only one road, One heart, Incredible and so many more were such big hits.

Are you serious??? LMBTL is the best song she ever recorded in the past decade. The song is current, modern, catchy, and everything you could ask for. Prior to the release of the song, I never read/heard anyone saying bad or against it release. People here are saying that "If she can't get a "hit" with this song, she'll never get any in the future."

She needs good music, talented people and good producers.

Seriously? Come on! Sia is one of the biggest and highest paid songwriters today. All the songs she wrote for all the other artist became a hit. If Sia is still not "good" and "talented" enough for you, then no one else is.

Please stop blaming the lack of video for the song's poor chart performance. That is not why the song didn't go where it should have.

Yeah it is, and we can tell about its potential looking at the audio views

Imagine putting these crappy ballads in the same line with LMBTL aka A GREAT radiophonic pop song....(one heart is an expection because of the lack of promo, and EXTREMELY awkward video, Céline was looking 60 and she wasn't even 40)

January is certainly a terrible month for Celine, specially the days 14, 16 and 22.

Today marks RC’s 17th birthday and I hope it will also mark the return of an happy and healthy Celine! ;)

We’ll certainly get some news about the English album. I expecting something great but I need new material soon.

I don't need any song previews. I just need a release date or even the announcement that the music video will be filmed...

How conveniently you skipped over my post that explained Sony not actively promoting the song.

I died!

If that is true (because Sony Music may want to keep it secret) this means that the album will not be released in the next few months.

What the hell are they doing?

Celine celebrates her 50th birthday in march, breaks records in Las Vegas, is selling thousands of tickets for her new Asia-Pacific Tour and her fans desperate for a new English album (that she's recording since 2016) and the big news is no news??? :cursing:

I said a bonus DISC. It would be a 2CD set.

Or maybe it’s time for a collectors series 2 - and include them or that!

Ah ok. One heart flopped because there was a video but she looked 60.

Didn't think about it. I'm now relieved.

Thanks for such relevant imput.

Those "crappy ballads" were the style that was popular at the time of their release. They had videos and performances and were not among her greatest memorable hits. LMBTL is the style that was popular in 2013, and still sounds fresh now. It was simply not pushed by Sony's PR department. They did the bare minimum for promotion in all aspects. It doesn't fall solely on the lack of video.

This feels different behind the scenes this time to me... than any other album in recent years... like they want it too be a surprise when & how it’s released... I might be wrong but having been in the know for the last 2 albums... this is just, hmmmm

I like the surprise factor!! I hope that's what they are doing. No news and one day... :w00t:!!

Imagine... how sweet it would be not to read any negative comments on snippets, album cover, etc. before the release.

Go for it Sony!

It will likely be on the album as CelineForeverNY said. Regardless, it was the first single from the album, unless it's not included on the album which seems very unlikely.

From what my source told me, it's not scheduled to be on the album but it's her call. I'm assuming it will be on the album but yet I heard from a close source of mine that it's all new recordings

I think Sony actually promoted it pretty strongly to radio in the US -- it was just that they focused on A/C radio first, before trying Top 40 radio. On the day after Labor Day 2013, they had LBMTL played every hour on a ton of A/C stations. That must have been a really expensive promotion, but it didn't do anything. On the A/C charts or anywhere else -- Americans just weren't interested in that song. That happens sometimes.

They only paid for like the first week of release. Most songs don't take off just like that. Hits are most of the time not instant. This song was not given a chance.
