I dont get why everyone is crap talking Celine about her tours,albums releases,photoshoots,interviews even her speaking voice. Has this woman not given you enough ?? She’s dedicated her life to making fans happy, coming back when her husband was extremely ill and then perfoming less than a month after her husband and brother died, doing shows when she was vocally exhausted, released albums, went on tours and done vegas 3 years in a row, she has done more than any of her other contemporaries.

 

This entire forum, some peoples lifes have been built by the music of Celine Dion, without her we would not have any of the amazing music we have today. In 38 years of albums,tours and being a worldwide singer can we not just accept that its probable that she will retire by the end of the next decade (maybe sooner), or was nearly 5 decades of endless work not enough ??

 

We are so fortunate, when rene died Celine could have EASILY bought her way out of Vegas,sold her house, moved back to Montreal and never sang live again. But she didnt, her dedication and love for her fans is insane, heck, in 2014 when Rene got cancer, she could have retired then without batting an eye. Or even in 2002 when she didnt want to start Vegas and wanted to live a normal life.

 

Anything we get now, we should be thankful for because Celine as a woman,mother and artist has given us so much and we can never forget that.

 

If she releases an album once every decade and (excuse the morbidness) dies on stage in Vegas at 85, i would be grateful because at this point she doesnt owe us anything.

 

I guess my point is we should accept what Celine wants as this is a pivotal turning point in her entire existence, not just as Celine Dion the singer, but also as Celine Marie Claudette Dion, the same little girl from Quebec with a happy smile and a big family.

Reading "growed exponentially" one could think it's huge numbers.

 

But for instance, nothing x3 still is nothing.

Let's say a vinyl used to sell 75 copies... its sales tripled. whoww that's 225 copies.

 

You will say it growed exponentially.

I will say : nothing to turn an industry upside down.

Think it was the only song cut from the VHS release that wasn’t included in the CD version. But that does not mean there were more songs performed in the shows that weren’t included on the VHS...

Back in 1994, there was a listing of a VHS of the Olympia concert on a music website, might have been HMV, I don't remember exactly. The track listing was the same as the CD with the extra track Oxygène. I think there's a topic on that somewhere on the forum.

 

Edit: Most importantly, it was cancelled. Forgot to mention that.

Rehearsals I should think, or sound check session.

Nobody cares if the album is finished or not, just sing a new song from it. It may even not end up on the album.

Release it on spotify, get the buzz starting that the album is coming.

But part of me is not. You said it was listed somewhere on online shops. Chronologically it doesn't make any sense. Sony would release a VHS when there was no more VHS release on the market?

I personnaly don't recall online shops existing at the same time as only vhs release.

And on top of that, well, among all the special Céline french tv shows ( and God knows there were), not a single one could grap some official footage of that shows? In 20 years?

I mean...the Watergate scandal ended up in 4 years!

 

But at the end of the day, I m stunned (and actually afraid) of how people believe so quickly whatever rumors or whatsoever.

 

More than 10 years ago, a little book (not even available anymore, not official , just part of a collection about all and nothing, 8 euros) dedicated to Céline stated that "One heart" was made of ANDHC leftovers. She had alledgly recorded more than 80 songs for ANDHC. It was the only article mentionning that fact.

This rumor still lives on in 2018.

The collector's in this forum know what I'm talking about, and we know (because we saw it) that there was some website listing this VHS and the record stayed their files there, for years (as happens with thousands of products that are either in back order or they are announced and then cancelled and the page with information about the product is still there for years).

 

Maybe some of this collector's can help and provide the link of that website? Unfortunately I didn't save it.

 

And about the OH thing, ay! It's curious to know there was such a book stating that? Because that thought has been (and is) a well-known secret, until the contrary is not proven Why then we have never got to see any behind the scenes material from those recording sessions (besides IDAN)? We have seen Céline recording all her English albums in the studio, either on videos or pictures. We have footage even from her first albums, Unison, Celine Dion and TCOML... but for this album. Nada. So that's where the basis to believe it's made of songs from the 2002 recording sessions comes from, and it's well founded. It's not that it's a rumour that still lives in 2018, is that after all these years still, we have never seen any video footage nor pictures coming from that album. That together with the fact that they added repeated songs that they had just featured one year ago on ANDHC, and the laziness building that tracklist, it all leads to think there are chances they just took the songs from past sessions. No pictures, no videos, repeated songs from an album that had just been released one year ago, same recording studios as ANDHC for more songs... But take it as you please most lol

 

Though 80 songs looks rather excessive to me
